Popular Post Cigarsmoker81 Posted June 3, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2021 Draw and burn are horrible but flavors are nice will try again in 90 days monte no 4 Ive to admit I’m on the camp of “I don’t get it “ 28
Popular Post smbauerllc Posted June 3, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2021 Montecristo Linea 1935 Dumas Excellent draw and construction. Burn was a bit off the entire time in spite of attempts to correct it. Nearly invisible seams and only a few very small, thin veins. Very tasty, and mellow and smooth, but I don't really feel the price for them is justified for me. '01 HDM Le Hoyo du Maire Pretty tasty little smoke and 20 years certainly hasn't muted the flavor. Even still has a little bite to it. Nice little after lunch smoke. Have been working through about a dozen I was generously gifted. MUWAT Bait Fish Strong flavored little sucker, with great burn, draw and construction. A little to overpowering to the palate for me, just like the opus x and anejos I tried several months ago, that I used to love. Appears my palate and likes/dislikes have changed over the last year smoking cc's almost exclusively '14 PSD4 Same great taste as recent production, but a bit smoother and more subtle. Definitely very tasty, and great burn, draw and construction. Also nearly invisible seams and only a couple very small, thin veins. Curious how much difference there will be with the 2008 I was also generously gifted. 26

I'd definitely recommend them if you can get your hands on one. I have a box of the Especiales #2 that are just sublime. If you're saying you prefer the standard Especial size vs. the Esp. #2, then I'd be in heaven. Too bad they're pretty scarce... 1

Yes the standard especial is a very classy cigar, definitely seek them out if you can find them. It's like the Sir Winston of Montecristos 3

Popular Post Jimmy_jack Posted June 3, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2021 First partagas short. I dig it. edited to add that I smoked this well past the band and it was great. Rarely do I smoke cigars down to 1/2-3/4 inches. 33

Luckily I was able to pick up a couple in a private sale last month and will get to try one soon. Have enjoyed all the Trinidads I have had except for the Vigia. I wasn't impressed for the price It was a very good smoke. Construction good. Flavors were grassy, leathery, nutty, hints of spice & sweetness. Body was med full & strength med. Would be even better with some age. I enjoy all Trinidads 2
Popular Post noreaster Posted June 3, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2021 I know these are crazy $$ but they are the most flavorful RA I've had...and I'm one of the few who don't get RASS... 28
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 I'm here in Palm Beach, FL for a much anticipated cigar trip with @rcarlson, @ElJavi76, @StogieSteve23,and @zigarrenziggy. Having a great time. Started off the day with a Trinidad Robusto Extra. 39
Popular Post Puros Y Vino Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 2010 VR Unicos and 12YO El Dorado. My favorite piramides. 29
Popular Post BlueRidgeFly Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 Second to last MdO4 here, box code unknown. Really good and would love to get more when they reappear, but anticipating these will be priced beyond their worth. Mediocre Monte 1, washed down with some really good mezcal. That's a damn nice combo, though. Getting skunked fishing the Delaware Water Gap, and a meh RASCC. Figures. I'll stop complaining... RyJ Mille Fleur, a good one from 2017. Camping in NEPA with an Illusione Epernay, followed by a not quite as good RGPC. One of those polarizing PLPCs. Monte 4. 35

The number 3 had the sweetest chocolate/cocoa. The number 1 had the best construction. I'd say cocoa/chocolate with some coffee or dark chocolate bitterness maybe a bit of earth. 3
Popular Post karp Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 HdM San Juan.. mild, mild, mild. Cream, and some of the typical HdM flavours. I’m a fan so it worked for me, but I will age this box to see if it improves the sweetness and cream. 29
Popular Post StogieSteve23 Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 Some recent smokes with @ElJavi76 @zigarrenziggy @SigmundChurchill and @rcarlson. Burning down south Florida. 06 Salamones 43
Popular Post Scubasteve20 Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 BPC MSU JUN 18 Sticks like this make it difficult to justify the pricier options. That's a ton of Bolivar flavor in there and smooth to the last drop! 37

I've recently become hooked on the Especiales no.2 and the no.3. They have become my go to Montecristos. The regular no.2 is still my favorite, I just don't smoke nearly as many as the other 2 mainly due to price 12 hours ago, Raskol said: C&C time. Great taste and great burn, draw and construction and nearly invisible seams with only a couple small, thin veins. Just a real treat all around.
