Popular Post El Presidente Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 New segment but plenty of us are foodies Di and I had a prawn/shriimp toast today. The photo is great but imagine it full of prawn/shrimp because it was chock full. Superb starter. World class. 14
Popular Post rcarlson Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Definitely my own spatchcocked chicken off the Kamado (H/T @Rhinoww for the recommendation). A little Michter's and a Famoso while I was hard at work preparing. 13
dominattorney Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I did some organic rainbow carrots with a maple syrup butter glaze. Roasted in the oven until just crisp with sea salt and cayenne. Wish I had pics, but I just tossed it together on a whim to go with some short ribs. Definitely a winner and when I make it again I'll throw up some photos. 2
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Seared blue fin tuna with soy ginger marinade, and homemade ground elk lasagna. 6
Popular Post GolfT3 Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Last night, first course. Raw scallop, cauliflower mushroom, seaweed, and green garlic peanut sauce. Could’ve eaten 12 of these. Stole the picture from their Instagram because I ate it too fast. 10

Popular Post Sub Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Down in Florida right now and my mom made her mojo Cuban pork with black beans and rice. Man I miss the food down here. 5
Popular Post ha_banos Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Balentines day (I prefer to call it that.) We went to a Basque restaurant I found in town. Bloody tasty steak. Really well cooked. I didn't read up enough, turns out it's in the Michelin guide. First for me. 19
Popular Post Kitchen Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Duck confit after two months of aging with a nice duck demi glaze fig sauce. Asparagus and roasted potatoes as sides. 5
Popular Post JohnS Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 The irony is not lost on me. On the one hand we have El Pres running a Fat Bastard Competition this year for the benefit of one half of our members and then posting up this thread for the other half. You can't complain that you are not 'catered' for here! 😂 4 9

Popular Post coug28 Posted March 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2022 Been tired of coming up with ideas for lunches/dinners as I’m the cook of the house, so we signed up for a food service (Hello Fresh) - they send all the ingredients and u just put it together. 2 winners thus far have been the chicken ramen and chick pea Shawarma lettuce wraps. It’s no filet mignon, but it gets the job done and the variety is nice! 10

Popular Post RichUK Posted March 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2022 Best for us has been some homemade beef birria burritos. I couldn’t get very large tortillas here, so the presentation wasn’t as good as I expected. Homemade guacamole was amazing. Still we ate them all, which is a good sign. 11
Popular Post Sudzdaddy Posted March 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2022 Old-school hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, and onion gravy! 11
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted March 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2022 Met a bunch of friends for a surprise birthday dinner for one of them. He cried as he saw us all and the line of the evening was uttered “I’d cry too knowing that these guys are my friends”. Great laughs. Short ribs and cheesy polenta was pretty good but the company made it the best meal. 5
Texwrangler Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 As I’ve gotten older the Dr keeps limiting the food I can/should eat. If I see another kale salad in my lifetime it’ll be too soon. I didn’t take a pic but this morning I gave the Dr the finger and made homemade biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Hell on the heart but it made me feel like a youngster again. 4
Popular Post mbrody Posted March 6, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 6, 2022 First Vaca in quite a while. Lobster dish and Wagyu were tied for best of the tasting menu. One of the top meals I have had (and hadn’t cooked myself)… 7

Next dry brine a spatcocked Turkey overnight in the fridge. That Red bomb makes some good eats. 1
