Your latest CC Purchase?

Passed through dxb airport and the stock there is the lowest I’ve seen and I do travel regularly through the airport. I was able to purchase the last two hdm dc they had ( oily wrapper and amazing smell ) and a box of monte especial ( dull wrapper and the smell is not as good as the dc ) 

Can’t wait to try out the dc

Wow,  What happened here? were these somehow bought off the factory floor?   The sticker pack makes them look like "my brother knows a guy specials"  but they are obviously not

Perhaps my last round of the big dogs until things normalize again in hopefully a year or two. Otherwise this could be my first and last 50 cab of HdM DC. Fingers crossed boxes of 25 still show up from time to time. I’m not that old yet …

A while back I made a comment on a thread about how I have never tried a Fonseca and how I'd like to give one a try. Not long after, I received a very friendly and welcoming message from @Jimmy_jackoffering to send me some sticks to try. I very much appreciated the thought and generosity. That small gesture went a long way and he made himself a new friend.

Now, a few months, later I managed to score a box on 24:24 when everyone was fighting for... I think 50 cab of Lusis or some other gem.

Here it is, and oh my, the smell is incredible. To be honest, not sure if I should put on BR in a few years (2014 vintage it is) or smoke them up now. What do you think? Thanks again to Jimmy_Jack for being a top bloke as they say in Aussie land. 

 

Just had to pull the trigger on these Ramón Allones beauties - King of North Edición Regional Nordico-Baltico (long and fancy name...). Also got two singles to try so I didn't have to open the sealed boxes. Will post a review later. Initial thoughts, the size is great, and the smell is really strong and vibrant already. They probably need some time, possibly a year or more but can't wait to try this Rey del Norte (I think it sounds better like that)...

May I suggest you try a couple after resting a bit, then if they’re not to your liking put them up on BR as a partial box.

Last delivery - 2 boxes of Boli CJ's, both TUA MAR-21's.  I really like the one on the left with the rosado wrappers but the one on the right says pure Guinness ..... I'll know sometime in 2026 !  Gone deep on these with one box almost gone (an outstanding MSU JUL-19) and 12 boxes resting.

A couple GOS ABR 19 RyJ Sports Largos. (One box does indeed have darker wrappers than the other)

One UBM JUL 17 RGPC.

One EBS MAR 21 RyJ PC. So yes the RyJ Petit Coronas are still around it seems.

Also noticed an even more old time spelling of connoissoeur on the RGPC box. So we have 3 legitimate spellings on CCs connoisseur, connaisseur, maybe connoissoeur. And the new nonsensical connossieur.

Ah, yes...a reference to how English has borrowed greatly from French. “œ” is an example of two letters coming together to make one sound, which is called 'ligature'. It can be traced back to Latin and Greek. Some English words still have the 'œ' (as in manœuvre), some are moving to a new spelling (as in fœtus and fetus, diarrhœa and diarrhea) and some we no longer use (as in fœderal  and connoissœur).
