Really good BSM JUL 20 Famosos. some extra rest did the trick! 

Solid BSM NOV 19 Coloniales and a very good Escogidos MSU AGO 19. The Escogidos definitely is a change of pace in the HDM marca, more coffee, hazelnut, wood and cream. Very close to a 5/5.

Really excited to try my first Papo robusto from a recent order. Grabbed a handful of these and the lancero

My two smokes of the night. Rio Seco was amazing, I think the Epicure Especial is still the best Hoyo. But perfect draw and a lot of smoke.

Second smoke of the evening is a H Upmann No2. It is redicously plugged, my frustration maybe can be seen in the cut I have done…

Dip #2 from RAT JUL 20. My first ever box of these, but god I love them. Very rarely does a young box make me think ‘they are great, smoke them all now’. Subtle resinous woody furniture sweetness, rich in flavour, under medium body at the start but building significantly. Great burn & construction. All round good.

Well, it was sort of boring. I’m terrible with tasting notes but all I can say is it was sort of plain. Construction was beautiful, burned perfectly, nice draw. It’s just that nothing stood out. Maybe it’s because it’s cold outside, not sure. Couldn’t think of another cigar I’d compare it to. I’ll try another when I get back inside at our club to see if it’s different. Hoping to try a lancero this week.

Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Toro - from a relatively new box but this is not a new cigar to me. One of my favorite Nicaraguans, packed with flavor and rich smoke!

Cracked open a box of Royal Robustos 2020 obtained from our gracious host. Forgot how good they are. Paired with some Argentinian Cabernet Franc. After a few glasses of the 14.9% I didn't even care that the draw was "snug".
