A run on PLPC today, I guess! My first PLPC, courtesy of trade with @La_Tigre 

Not an aged example, but I still picked up a lot of the often talked about caramel notes. It was rather significantly plugged, which was such a tease because the flavors that I was getting were excellent. It opened up a tiny bit more at the very end and so I skewered it with my perfec draw so as to nub it. Intensely sweet at the nub with a strong taste of custard/creme brûlée!

Boom.  Wow.  Smoked a few early on, and they were good.  Put these to rest for a little over a year and these are incredible!

Fantastic last evening with a Topes curtesy of @ElJavi76 pairing with a Fok Hing Gin year of the ox edition. My first try of this Topes and found coffee, smooth buttery croissant and woody notes.

Certainly! I'll give you as straight of an answer as I can. Still smoke plenty of NC's even though I prefer more CC's now. 

I haven't found any of the Cohete's yet.   Do love me a Sumatra wrapper though and it's one I've been on the lookout for.

A friend recently sent me this cigar and didn't include the code or date but my guess is that's from 90s given the taste. There's something special about these pre 98 cigars, they have a taste to them that I've never found in later production.

When I reached the second row of this box last year I saw that the cigar next to the right edge had two splits in the wrapper. Nothing that some cigar glue can’t fix. It’s smoking great.

One of my favorite cigar.
Extremely consistent, cedar and maybe pine, no pepper at all.
Wood sweetness hint.
Enjoy from head to toe.

 

Very disappointed one.
Perfect draw.
Earthiness and woodiness. Slightly peppery.

Good to know. Anything specific as to the taste?

I have some 98 and 99 SdC 1 and 3 (and maybe one or two other 98, 99s). But nothing older

Upmann #2 today (BRE DIC 18) - unfortunately a bit of a tight draw. Still, very good smoke, leathery, creamy, with good coffee notes on top of this.
