I miss having them around. Like smoking a freshly cut lawn--in a good way. 3
NSXCIGAR Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 BLT OCT 20 Monte DE. Beautiful, balanced and rich--everything great about Montecristo. 95 points. Close seconds: BSM FEB 20 Famosos and GEM MAY 20 Connie 1. 93-94 points both. 3
Popular Post Meklown Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 The coro I had last wed. absolutely ugly wrapper and I've taken it many times only to put it back in the humidor due to how tight it felt on the squeeze. I'd say 92 points in the end 7
Popular Post La_Tigre Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 UBM JUN 19 2nd one from a fiver @captaincaveman Wow, just wow, and, of course, no more boxes with this code in the hideaway. You know it is gold when you are saying to yourself now this is why we smoke cigars…. 13
Popular Post JohnS Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 ARG Jun 2015 Cohiba Siglo VI. I had some other excellent cigars too in April but this was the best. 12 2
Popular Post Edicion Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 Without a doubt this Partagas 898 I posted the other day on the Daily smokes thread. Why? Simply pure spices, balanced aroma, perfect draw, but most importantly - raw sugar flavor. There was an incredible sweetness to it that came early late in the 1/3 and stayed all along until the end. Never had that before. Glorious perfection. I almost regret promising 3 away to the boys. 9 2

I bought a box of the Mag 50 off the back of this....how strange it is when you smoke something without the bands and have to gauge size and tastes from it.... It was very good agree. Almost bought a box myself tbh. 2
Popular Post Akela3rd Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 Dip2 RAT JUL 20. I was going to put these away for a couple of years but tried one. Then another, and another etc etc. I now have 17 left... Sent by spooky action at a distance 10 4
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 2020 Libertador was absolutely terrific. It's one of my sorta usual favorites but this one was a step up. 6

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oh it didn't fool me when we did this blind tasting ! I nailed the Upmann 50 within the first 5 min, that Upmann DNA was everywhere. I think what helped me what that I've had the 46, Connie A, Connie B, Connie 2 and Sir Winnie in my last 10/12 cigars or so. 1
Popular Post KCCubano Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 2017 Romeo Mille Fleur. Like smoking a bottle of cherry cough syrup. Threw a couple Vicodin down the gullet to complete the affect! 5 3
Popular Post dragn270 Posted May 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2021 PSE2 from March 2019. It was excellent into the fact that it gave me a glimpse of how awesome they are going to be in a couple more years. 5
joeypots Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 It was a tie between a MC #2, LUB MAR 14 and a HURR, UPE NOV 12. Both show 5 stars over at CCW. I think the age and RH were perfect on these two so they were just about perfect, for me anyway. 3
leafdream54 Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 ERDM Choix Supreme MLU NOV 18 - with the light wrapper. Tasted like pecan sandie cookies with a hint of lemon citrus. 4

I wouldn't consider them as having been an "upper tier" brand but they were certainly considered on par with every other non-Cohiba. Certainly not considered a lower tier brand like JLP or Quintero. No one considered Vegueros a lower tier brand until the re-release and IMHO it deserves its current place. Laguito No. 1 & 2 are classy vitolas and HSA treated them as such with the old Vegueros. They still don't command (or didn't) top dollar in the vintage markets but I always enjoyed them and appreciated their quality. Quite frankly, today's Vegueros are not very impressive and the cheesy 16 tin packaging doesn't help. Shame since the originals really were underrated. 1 1
