  7. Coloniales. RAG SEP 19 if memory serves. Contemplating all the work that is yet to be done and products and furniture to be delivered for my upcoming covered porch/cigar lounge. Lotta work to go down in the next six weeks or so. Working from home may not suck as much. Cigar is outstanding. Glad to have a few more boxes in the mail before the price increase.

  13. POL NOV 10 This box has been good to go this year. Still packs a punch on the retrohale as my eyes are watering, but that has calmed down about 5 mins in with the other ones. I get it.

  20. ERDM Demi Tasse, 20 minutes, first third spice, and then honey and vanilla for the rest. RyJ Petit Julietas 37 minutes, sweet cherry in and out with some more earthy charcoal type flavour. 2008 Punch Royal Selection no. 12. Still had a quite tannic woody flavour mixed with a fruity melon flavour. Had a bit of an oily fireproof wrapper and tunnelled a fair bit. Used @PigFish Cuban smash or smoosh technique. Only lasted about 40 minutes. Found it quite strong for a PC.

  26. SCdlH La Punta Very tasty and good draw, burn and construction. Have really enjoyed every SCdlH I have ever tried. Excellent marca Flor de Ybor City Toro Maduro Very tasty and great burn, draw and construction, especially for a fairly cheap cigar. Planning to pick up a Sampler of the marca to try out a few of the other vitolas without having to by 5 of any Single vitola

  28. Partagas shorts DIC19. Positively surprised! After having tried several other vitola within the marca I had decided it wasn't for me. Now I have to reconsider.

  29. Cohiba Siglo II Very tasty as always and great draw and construction. Burn was a little off the entire length but I attribute that to having to use a Bic lighter in a breeze and not getting it started well. One of my favorite smokes 1950's Tampa Needles Havana Cigarillo Pretty tasty, and great burn, draw and construction. Taste is hard to describe, but it was kinda like wet, musty wood

  32. I think that what you do at different levels of your cigar life can make a profound difference. I have been smoking cigars for almost 38 years now. Hell, I have known Rob for 20... You should not therefore cheat yourself of the experience. I too used to smoke cigars as they came in for a number of reasons; impatience, curiosity, lack of experience... etc. There are no experts in taste, or in your taste. My anecdotal experience lines up with a lot of seasoned smokers. But there are outliers. Or maybe, off of a specialized Cuban cigar board, I am the outlier. It does not much matter. Not to me anyway. Smoke what you like and when you like, no matter what anyone else says about it. This is but one of many reasons that make cigar smoking interesting and enjoyable. It is not a habit, but a cerebral event or even mindless pleasure, or any number of things in-between. It is what you want it to be! Happy smoking! -Piggy

  38. BRC bit of wind tunnel. Partagas PCE spice as expected. Better construction than the last few Partagas cheap and cheerful I had. 2008 Punch super selection no. 1 ROTT from a trade on zoom. 5/5. As usual I feel like I got serious about CCs 10-15 later than I'd have liked to. Better late than never.

  43. BSM ENE 20 Media Luna. First from a new box. After being wowed so often with all these young Trinidads this pretty good one seems average. Some tannins are still a bit sharp and flavors a bit muted. Relatively speaking I think these will be awesome in 2-3 yrs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
