Multiple times a day lol. I laugh at myself every time.

Spreadsheet

None, but do put in ziploc bags

Take detailed notes only with new sticks and take pics of the ash. I posted it a few times

I only have eyes for FOH.

Cheers

My remote Hygrometer display sits on my desk, so I literally check it hourly. Haha. Only once a day, through wifi, when I'm travelling. I used to run boxes through the HSA website a few years ago, but I've slowed down on my off islands purchases to the point that I cant remember the last time I ran a barcode. (that and it only works about 10% of the time). My spread sheet isn't perfect, but its functional. I've never kept detailed tasting notes or referenced a flavor wheel, I do love comparing tasting notes on the same cigar with one or more people at the same time. I often find that different smokers taste similar flavors differently, I think my palate has improved from this. FOH is the only forum/cigar group I'm a part of, I don't have any desire to change that.

I generally check humidity a few time a week especially when the seasons change.
Run a spreadsheet that generally keeps track of box purchases. I’ve learned to trust my vendors.
I don’t keep any notes on my cigars except maybe mentally.
I’m on two forums but mainly post here.

It’ll be interesting to see the responses on this.

Daily Humidity checks

Spreadsheet but only for Habanos

Keep notes on occasion , always refer to previous tasting notes as a point of reference

I have been checking daily as I am dialing in my humidor. I am getting less obsessed 😄

Regarding cigar inventory, should be another option.

*No spreadsheet, but if ever asked, I can tell you what’s in there, or relatively close based on brand/size.

I’m but a small fish when compared to some of you whales!

I'm all about the detailed inventory....that also keeps a running tab of the average score out of 100 for the cigars I have smoked from that box...finally some high-level tasting notes.

Very important point missed

Cigar Inventory:

I use CCW with pictures of all boxes, codes and price saved on the site.

I weigh my cigars looking for very very low weight examples for...... reasons of reducing cost 😉

Also missed is the calculation of how long this shortage will last compared to one’s stash. I might admit to doing that math more than I should.

I thought the most shocking news of the week was when I found out that the Easter Bunny is governing the USA.  Not so.  Even more shocking is that more than 50% of respondents, 46 people at the time of this response, keep a spreadsheet detailing their cigar inventory.   Didn’t see that one coming.

Don't check my humidor too often unless I'm rearranging or making big changes in the way I'm storing them - changed all my bovedas to 69s in my coolidor recently as the 65s would average out to 60, and I'd prefer my humidity to be closer to 65.  I'll be moving stuff from the coolidor to the wineadors soon, so I'll monitor it daily after I make the move until it settles out.

Somewhat good at tracking my cigars as I'll log when I get it.  Might log when I smoke one but not too worried if I forget.  I also pretty much only buy from FOH so verifying authenticity isn't high on my list of priorities.  I really only check for mold and damage when I get new cigars in.

Smoking - it's either detailed notes with the use of the flavor wheel and pics or just chilling with no notes/pics of any kind.

I use boveda. I think there's a working hydrometer in my largest tupperdore for solid boxes, I have two smaller ones for loose, one CC, one NC. A wise man once told me that inventories are a sign of assets, so I have a sharp idea of what I have on hand but nothing on paper or worse, digital. I only take notes when describing a cigar for a competition; I do not use a flavor wheel. When stock comes in, it gets an inspection for mold and then into the large tupperdore for at least six months. KISS it all.

It's going to close if Cuba keeps going how it's going. I don't personally see any return to 2018 ever again. Theyve found a good niche, they'll stick with it.

But do you really count all of those Demi Tasse?😂

I am with you on all respects. I doubt things will go back to the pre pandemic model unless there is a hard recession in China (where demand spiked in the last few years) or demand otherwise takes a nosedive.  Which leads me back to a stick count and assessment of variety every six months or so then filling in the gaps where I can. I was originally concerned that opening up Cuba to the US would destroy supply - who knew it would be a pandemic that would destroy supply. Regardless hoarders gonna hoard.

It is funny how this thread brings us all back to our individual forms of OCD. Great questions @El Presidente  Good material here for sure - perhaps for the psychologists 😂

I realise that for some people an Excel Spreadsheet is Nirvana.  They do of course have my full sympathy and understanding.     Ha!

This is me.  Based on the options listed, many people must be missing the plot but to each his own.  For me, I’m searching for the feelings of satisfaction vs checking a list of notes.

I mentally keep my cigars in 4 categories.  Nicotine fixes (Party Short, M4, BPC), Daily Smokers, Big Smokes and Treats.  Sometimes I feel like a treat, but my daily smokers (Monte 2, P2, Mag 46, BBF, Mag 50, D4, RASS, Coloniales) to me are just as enjoyable as most of my treat sticks (Trinidad Esmeralda/Topes, Cohiba Sig 3/4 and Robusto).  My Nicotine Fixes are those 30 min pairing with an afternoon coffee, but my favorite cigar experiences are usually my Big Smokes paired with an activity, golfing, fishing, watching a major championship, and that’s when I smoke my Lusis, RAGs, Sir Winnies, HDM DC, RJC.
