Which NCs do you currently like? which NCs do you currently dislike? What is your budget per stick?

EAR: Taking advantage?
Kevin48438 replied to El Presidente's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
OP wrote that he “traded” it, rather than “sold” it. I wonder what he traded it for. A box of cigars he likes better? Did he trade knowing that the receiver wasn’t going to smoke them? If the understanding was that the receiver was going to smoke them, but sold them instead, I would be bothered. I’d feel like I was tricked, which isn’t a good feeling. Friends don’t deceive friends. If it wasn’t a friend, then there isn’t much to do but avoid any future interactions with that person. Or at least be on guard for any future deals. -
Innovative concept

I thought they already did such a thing as seconds or bundle cigars. This seems like just marketing it differently. Was going to insert a joke that they’re still better than most Cubans. However, I’m on a pretty good run. Been a while since I’ve had a poorly rolled one. -
Where on the cigar spectrum are you?
Kevin48438 replied to El Presidente's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
I thought the most shocking news of the week was when I found out that the Easter Bunny is governing the USA. Not so. Even more shocking is that more than 50% of respondents, 46 people at the time of this response, keep a spreadsheet detailing their cigar inventory. Didn’t see that one coming. -
Pick three from the following sizes.

Is it possible to make a 44 x 7.5-8 inch cigar that is capped at each end? One that can be cut in the middle to make 2 cigars. Or a long smoke if one wanted. I know you floated a similar question a few weeks ago, asking who had cut a cigar to make 2 of them. And i’ve done it a few times. It made me think it would be really cool if a cigar was made to do it on purpose if desired. -
Freebie Cigar,Infused something or other
Kevin48438 replied to Ford2112's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
If Mitch likes it, then give it to him. Otherwise, toss it. You’ve already made up your mind on it. If it is infused, it can affect other cigars it’s stored with. -
Only a couple of my dress boxes have them. The vast majority of the boxes I get have been opened and inspected. I guess they are completely removing the nail. For NC boxes that have nails, I never bothered removing it. I just cut any stickers with a knife, loosened the edge a bit with the knife, then pulled it open. Now I want one of these. I’m also envisioning a modern version with something other than a bottle cap remover. Definitely don’t need that. Incorporating a poker and screwdriver for lighters would be useful. But what for that fat end?

March had some awesome cigars. Nubbing one now that I mentioned in the rotation thread. The Tatuaje black label corona gorda. It is from the jar release about 10 years ago. These have none of the traits, like pepper, that cc lovers find unappealing in Nicaraguan cigars. See below for what I really think about it. Another is a personal reserve from a blender/maker (nc) that is not available for sale. They’re about 15 years old and might contain crack cocaine they are so addictive. Best Cuban was an old-ish (10-12 years) Behike that is related. I gave one of the personal reserves from above to a friend to smoke when he was over. He wanted more so I traded a few for a few of his Behikes. I don’t smoke BHKs very often, but I do love them.

Looking at the boxes that have migrated to the front of the humidor lately: AF Don Carlos #3 Tatuaje Black corona gorda HDM2 Nestor Miranda Special Selection short robusto Monte4 Partagas Maduro 1: Had my first Party maduro today and I was blown away. I’ve had this box for a while and mostly forgot about it. (EPM SEP19). I wasn’t really all that excited about them for reasons I’m not sure of. Probably because they don’t seem all that popular here. I imagine these are going to scratch the Partagas itch for a while.

Boveda ziploc storage bags long term?
Kevin48438 replied to GoodStix's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
You have 120 boxes, each stored in a ziplock bag? Then stacked up on a bookshelf or industrial style shelving?
