Superb RASS TEB MAY 09 from a trade with @NorCalAaron. Started a little rougher than I expected but quickly turned to the RASS you would expect for one with a decade on it. Imagine raisin toast with Nutella. Draw and burn were perfect. My better half joined me and we had some Cab and some aged cheddar on the deck while the snow came down on us. For the record, I’m over the snow for this year. Going to be 18 degrees tomorrow night. Glad I have a conference in Phoenix next week to thaw out.20 points

H Upmann Robusto USE MAY 08. The last from the travel humidor. These have been a very good half dozen cigars - cedar, walnut, touch of cocoa, leather on the retrohale - but despite the rarity value they're there to be smoked and enjoyed. And I obviously still have the beautiful travel humidor to use for years to come. I'd say that if you can still find one, jump on the chance and hang the cost! Sent from 47171 Lempo16 points

Punch Coronas TSU Sep 2007 (thanks @baragh!) The Montecristo No.3, Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro and the Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No.2 are the last coronas vitolas left in regular production. Once upon a time it seemed every marca had a coronas-sized cigar, but that seems like aeons ago now. This Punch Coronas was generously gifted to me by Will and was discontinued in 2009. My last Punch marca cigar was a 2018 Punch Punch and I thought it was spectacularly similar to the 2018 FoH Xmas Sampler one I had a few months ago. This Coronas was very close to those, if only because I felt that those two Punch Punch cigars oozed that distinctive Cuban Twang sour citrus tart note throughout, whereas this Coronas had stronger elements of leather to it. Still, this was very, very good and I wouldn't complain if I had a box of these. I'd make sure to rest them a little longer even, if I did!16 points

UBM ENE 18 punch punch courtesy of@jeremiep89 This cigar is awesome, a personal favourite. Wish I picked up a 50 cab of these when they were available. @JohnS is bang on with the flavours of these relatively young PP. Clove, creamy, spice, nut! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk14 points

Had Montecristo 1935 Dumas from FOH weekday sampler during travelling at Penang. The flavour profile is more powerful and exotic than typical Montecristo cigars which makes it being more unique and special. However, I was a bit annoyed by too many cracks on its wrapper (totally godawful condition ?) that made me had to relight it so many times. Besides, since I was at the Love Lane (pubs, pubs everywhere!!) during that day, the music was too loud and there were too many hookah and cigarette smokes that made me difficult to focus on reviewing this cigar. Will review Leyenda on May for comparison. Lesson During That Day: Sometimes, it is better to leave the cigar bands until you have to remove them to prevent major wrapper damages. P.S. I was the only cigar smoker in that area by the way ?...11 points

Cohiba Espléndidos Again, this cigar has been generously gifted to me by an anonymous benefactor and as it's an Esplendidos I'm again humbled to receive it. I'm not familiar with the age of the cigar but judging by the older band, the aroma, feel and wrapper quality and shade of the cigar, if I were to compare it to my Esplendidos I'd guess that this was somewhere in the vicinity of 8 to 10 years of age. It was a tad stronger in strength than I'm used to for an aged Esplendidos, more towards medium-mild. It dominated in mocha coffee core flavours with honey and a smidgen of Cohiba grass/hay. Those stronger flavours masked any citrus, vanilla or butter texture which I found more in abundance in other Esplendidos I've smoked over the years. I nubbed it to the end because the honey sweetness kept me keenly interested and I remain grateful. After all, it was an Esplendidos.9 points

My second box and I’m trying hard not to finish this one off as well! I have a hard time keeping any of my boxes in my humidor full [emoji51]9 points

HDM San Juan - June 18 I’ve smoked a couple from this box, each one so tight even the perfecdraw barely made them smokeable. I picked this gorgeous specimen up anticipating the same draw... to my surprise this beauty had an effortless draw. I’m getting coffee, cream, sea salt, and a bunch of white pepper through the nose. Here I was regretting this box purchase, thinking to myself I should’ve stuck with what I know - but this cigar is excellent. Here’s hoping the rest of the box is like this one!9 points

Great afternoon. Playoff hockey. No. 4. My favorite right now. Got a bunch of singles on their way from Rob's warehouse. Super excited to see if any of those take a new favorite, for me. The whisky is redemption rye. It is a good cheap American 95% rye malt. Very spicy. As an Islay Scotch fan, I like this more than any mid shelf bourbon/rye.8 points

The core of this topic is to pose the question,,, why aim from mediocrity? . One of the striking things in looking at some of the Belinda cabinets of the past is, that they seem to have been one of the more luxurious brands. Why then did they decide the use such a prestigious name of yesteryear, and in 1989 convert it into a multitude of dirty tasting demi-tasse's?. It seems like such a needless destruction of a once great brand. A few images of some stunning cabinets, and their Dunhill seleccions.........and then modern day, slightly sad looking coronas.............still a corona mind you!!4 points

5 days ROTT. Awesome smoke. At 24:24 price, just an absolutely incredible value. Regretting my decision to only get 1/4 and not the 50 cab. BRO MAR 18. 6 days ROTT. First from the box. Initially classic RyJ, then harsh for about an inch. Settled into a stronger RyJ than I'm used to. Cherry, Nuts, Strong Espresso, Burnt Carmel - lots of flavors. Packed a punch too! Letting the rest sit for 30-60 to see if it mellows out a bit.3 points

From the love of a woman born all the beautiful things on earth, including cigars Belinda. The Cuban brand, whose Foundation dates back to 1882, is named after the beloved woman of Francisco Menendez – the man who stood at the origins of these magnificent cigars3 points

I've got a mate called Belinda who was stunning in 1986 and still looks bloody good today - does this help? I'd put up pictures but that would be weird.3 points

I only smoke outside so realistically I have an off season from November to February. I quite like it really, it makes me look forward to Spring and stops me getting used to something special and it becoming routine. I think cigars might lose their special appeal for me if I just had them on tap constantly3 points
