I recall being a bit underwhelmed when these were young but a few years seem to make a big difference (to me, at least). (Years on the cigar that is though who knows?) Got these for just over US$5 each at Conde Villanueva. Miss that place. ps: A bit of bitterness took hold at the end of the Famoso (more age needed?) ...So, what the heck? This is really rich and very full bodied, with a dark, roasted character. I didn’t smoke that much of it due to time constraints, but it would have been a serious kick in the pants by the back third. I could taste it for the rest of the day! Alas, it’s really not my speed. Too heavy and dark for me. Well, now they just got these sword ash trays that they are placing everywhere in the lounge to match the name. They are heavy and solid, but I can’t decide if they cool or corny. Started with a firm draw but my cigar forceps cleared that up. 1 short stem up front and she’s smoking wonderfully. Wish I had a better palate description but all I have is Yes, more please. But it is giving the place a kind of, pirate feel to it. And a part of my mind has burned into it, Brad Hamilton in his pirate costume at Captain Hook Fish and Chips. At the same time, I have always been fascinated with real pirate history. You know, like Benjamin Hornigold, Charles Vane, Samuel Bellamy, et al.
