For me it has to be the Masters in Augusta. Nothing else like that.

Masters is definitely up there.  Super Bowl is up there too but I've never seen my team in it, so pfft!  Not even a big soccer fan, but the World Cup is pretty great.

Used to attend lots of football matches when I was living in London. Used to love the sound of the Champions League anthem echoing around the stadium. Unfortunately my team (Arsenal) are no longer in the Champs League and do not seem like they want to get back in.

That would be Allsvenkan, the swedish football leauge. It*s the only sporting event i follow. I do watch Champions League, but I don't follow it.

      * Mixed Martial Arts events...but to watch (on TV) - not to attend. I don't think I could handle that in person and be right there...as it was pointed out to me: "Those punches and kicks are a lot harder than they look."  I just know that when the 1996 Olympics came to Atlanta I got to be right there with the just training boxers there. I was some 25 feet distance from them and they decided to do practice punches. Again, these were just the amateurs and folks in training: when their fists connected - you know the sound those wide wooden flatboards make if you strike them with another hard object? That was the sound their punches made - and was as loud as if I was right up on them instead of some 25 to 30 feet away! I went, "Whoa! My God!!!" And this is how HARD they're gonna be connecting on their faces and stuff, I thought!? No - I love watching evenly matched warriors combating each other; but I can only watch where it's nice and muted from the boob tube :hole:

World Cup / Euro Cup for soccer. The stanley cup finals would also be on this list if one day the Toronto Maple Leafs decide to make it that far.

World Junior Hockey Championship.  It's been an annual tradition for me since the 1994 lockout.  Unfortunately us ice hockey fans don't get a reliable best on best tournament so this is as close as it gets.  For a single game, NCAA football natty.  I love seeing young, hungry guys playing for love of the game.
