earthson Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 A cajon of RASCC, HUPC, PLMC or Sancho Non Plus? A cab of Trini Reyes (with 48 cigars, naturally)!? You better shush, teasing me so!

maxcjs0101 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I have a thing for larger (50rg and above, toro/gordo) but somehow i seldom smoke them and only like keeping them. Anything above a robusto (5"x50rg) usually gives me the spins but from time to time i would still purchase some big rg sized cigars, usually non cubans just because i like them. Yeah im weird.
David88 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 If I could only choose two vitolas they would be petit corona and corona gorda. I feel like they would suit my average smoking time and my preference for a RG below 50. They would offer me a shorter smoke and slightly longer for when I have enough time and there are some very high quality petit coronas and corona gordas to choose from.
Habana Mike Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Panatelas and Coronas/CG/Dalias all day long and I buy a little more than 2 boxes a month! 1
Bartolomeo Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Buy more than two boxes a month Voted...Robusto and Piramide.....based on time to smoke and size
mcease022 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Robusto and corona grande or corona gorda for me.
LLC Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Can't vote from my phone but if I was limited to two it would be Corona Gorda for sure and a properly rolled Lonsdale.

Exactly what he said for me. Like a Robusto or Belicoso tossed in every once in awhile and every very great while I go for a Churchill or Double Corona.
JoeyGunz Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 PC's & No.2's I could live with that, quite happily.
Blazer Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 As usual, I'm an outlier. I prefer long & short skinnies.
irratebass Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I'm right at a box a month I voted for HC/PC Not sure what Dalia is, so not sure I voted correctly, but I have to go with what David & Zeedubbya said.
PapaDisco Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 So this is a survey about ring gauge preference? That seems like the closest thing those poll pairings have in common? Practically, I stock up the most with Corona Gordas, second place is a tie between Churchills and Double Coronas, and then about 1/3 of my purchases are a broad sampling of everything else. I'm a sucker for the Asia Pacific regional releases and will try any of those regardless of vitola.

Coronas, coronas extras, dalias and petit coronas...alas, we don't see enough of them, sadly! I think I speak for a few of us here in saying that I have purchased cigars in vitolas which I wouldn't have if I had a choice. For example, Diplomaticos No.2 have sold out the last few times when listed on 24:24. However, if the Diplomaticos No.4 and No.5 were around (both discontinued in 2010), at the very least, then I probably would have got these instead. This doesn't mean these are the only two vitolas I purchase, rather, they are what I prefer. Not sure I could agree more or have said it any better. John, I will ride with ya anywhere! We tend to agree on "all things cigars". 1
ChefBoyRG54 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 would have been easier for me to decide if Robusto and Robusto extra were in one group and then Dalias and similar in another, but based on my recent prefernce i voted Robo and the Robo extra group where the Dalias group was on the fringe. My go to as of late has been Robusto, however im not a huge fan of petit robo.
archosaur Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 If I only had to pick ONE, it would have been corona/corona extra/dalia all the way...but since there were two on the list, I went with panetela (love the skinnies) and belicoso/pyramid. To me, a laguito #1/#2 is essentially equivalent to a lonsdale/corona, so I would look to the panetelas to cover my parejo needs while keeping some figurados in the mix too. Incorrectly or not, I just think of the pyramid as such a classic Cuban cigar shape. I think I would miss them too much.
Oldmso54 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Petit Corona is without a doubt my favorite size. And anything with a RG between 36 & 40 is just fine too!
Colt45 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Had I my own cigar company, I'd start with a corona and branch out from there - it might just be the perfect all around size. Love CGs / CEs, Churchills, Dalias (and really, all the similar formats), PCs. Parejos. The Carlota - some years back, I always thought I'd love a Bolivar Carlota. After reading this discussion and thinking about it, I think a Hoyo, Upmann, or even Montecristo Carlota might be even more interesting. And since we're talking about it, in what world is a robusto more of a "short churchill" than a corona gorda? 1
