Popular Post smbauerllc Posted May 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 29, 2021 2011 Montecristo No.3 Extremely tasty and perfect in every regard. These are my second favorite monte vitola and even recent production is great, but 10 years has just made them magical. Partagas Culebras Ugly as sin, but always a great taste and excellent draw, burn and construction. Just recently discovered these when I got one as part of a trade. Had always shied away from them assuming that the odd shape would cause them to have too tight a draw for my liking but all of them have been outstanding in every regard. Definitely hooked on them Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 23 1

Raskol Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Nice. I really like those actually just ordered a few this morning as i only had one left. Used to always shy away from rg's under 40 or so as I was concerned there would be lots of draw problems, but of the skinnoes I have tried were all excellent in construction and draw, so now there are a few skinnies I enjoy and keep in stock Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk PLMC, I always have them. With more age the better.. Have a great weekend! Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk 2

It’s a circa ‘07 limited edition robusto, lovely construction, perfect draw, good burn/ash, and by any standard a damn good cigar. But compared to a habanos? Not even close; like minor to major league ball, stock car to F1 racing, 2021 to ‘80s Paulina Porizkova, pick your metaphor… there is something profound missing in the Dominican taste. Which is so strange to me, as there is so much similar in the product (in many cases, same seed, similar climate, lat/long, etc), save for the soil. Just amazing. Closest I can come to is DRC to any other Pinot. Every time I smoke NC I have to fight urges to snuff it out and light up a CC. Feel so blessed that it has gotten 100x easier to source the damn things over the 30 years I’ve been smoking. Cheers! I feel ya. I took about a year and a half hiatus from nc's while I focused on exploring new cc's, and different facets of them like ER's, EL's, Vintage and just plain ones I had never tried. Was a great journey. Just stocked back up on nc's, with most being very generously gifted ones, as I have just been feeling like I was missing out on some great smokes and to add even more variety to my stash. Used to really enjoy Davidoffs and Zinos, so bought about a dozen various ones. The first nc's I smoked from what I had leftover, which were once favourites, just didn't do anything for me and I ended up trading them away and even gifting 8 opus X's and Anejos as they were the least impressive of what I tried. The recent nc's I have tried have been very good though, so no more fear that I had lost my taste for nc's. 18 hours ago, Raskol said: PLMC, I always have them. With more age the better..
