Popular Post El Presidente Posted February 24, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2023 I ran into a favourite Italian dish at Cipriani Hong Kong earlier this week in the Fegato alla Veneziana. So rich and decadent. Certainly something that you can make at home but always a treat when you run across it done so expertly. Calves liver can be supplemented with calves/veal kidneys (sliced thinly). Calves’ Liver Venetian Style – Fegato alla Veneziana Your favourite Italian dish? 6

brutusthebuckeye Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 My mom (born in Italy 1943) Abruzzo came to the states with my Dad in 1966. Her gnocchi is the best Italian dish for me. Thing is she hates making it. And it’s been years since she’s made it. Stubborn old Italian lady we’ve even offered to help her but she refuse’s lol. 3

Popular Post 99call Posted February 25, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 25, 2023 Close second is a good Panzanella salad.........not one made by a joyless vegan 5
El Hoze Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Man, an impossible question to answer! I always say from food to art to cars to fashion to shotguns for some reason the Italians just know how to do it. I’ll go with a less obvious one (in many ways): vitello tonnato. Not sure what crazy genius Italian came up with that one but a good vitello tonnato is blow-your-mind good. I imagine it’s not as universally liked as pizza!

BrightonCorgi Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 I'll throw a curve ball with a cannoli with pistachios.
SCgarman Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Cheese ravioli with meatballs in tomato sauce. And of course pizza, all different styles of it.
