Whats up for the weekend?

I assume many of you in the US are scaling down after Thanksgiving. 

Relatively quiet one this weekend. 

Gardening, Gym, Long Lunch at a French Restaurant with Di, walk along the river, Uber, cigar + drinks, movie. 

Tomorrow will be a little catching up with my parents before shopping for a mobile Paella setup for the cigar deck. I have promised to cook the deck guys a paella for lunch on the 17th. All going well I will do it regularly.  The rest of the day will be catching up with work, forum, cigar and try out some of those cognacs and brandy's I have ignored for the past 25 years.

Going to the liberal Bastian of Boulder to celebrate my step sons birthday. Sleeping on a couch. My back will hate me for a week. On the plus side it's an excuse to tie one on before bed as a prophylactic. Enjoy the weekend.

HUGE WEEKEND. 

Biggest of the year. 

Conference finals. We win we make it to the championship we are hosting here at home. 

Sure, if we win, next weekend will become the biggest of the year. But we are hosting regardless. Wife and I have our tickets regardless. 

But having the home team PLAY in the Grey Cup will be massive. I don't believe in our 105 year franchise history have we actually played in the championship the year we hosted it....and if we did, we certainly didn't win. 

Could be a record setting, 100+ year event.

I flew down to Southern California to watch conference championship football with my uncle. Smoking a beautiful 2015 Punch Punch from a cab on his couch now watching Utah walk all over Oregon. In and Out burgers after the game. Good start to a fun weekend.

I'm enjoying some well-earned downtime this weekend. It's been quite hectic at work since our four month lockdown in Sydney, Australia ended in mid-October but I've enjoyed meeting the challenges immensely. I just spoke to @Fuzz about this cigar via phone. @El Presidente, of course you were right many years ago when they came out. I've waited four-and-a-half years to light this up and it is a quality cigar, it has indeed 'blossomed'. I'm supremely glad I rested these and I look forward to lighting another one tomorrow. I will write a detailed review this week.

Taking it easy this weekend soothing some employees and my own wounds.  Unfortunately, lost a big client project on Thursday to a competitor (> $2B project with ~ $200M gross margin for the company) - gut punch.  A few old fashions with George Dickel 13 year old Bottled in Bond Whiskey (can't call it Bourbon since it's from Tennessee) a PSD4, HUP Mag 50 and a JL2 make it all better.

Spent Saturday morning freezing all of mine and my wife's credit reports.  Someone got her SSN and tried opening a Wells Fargo Debit and Credit card.  Luckily, had one letter in her last name wrong but had our address and everything else correct.  Their fraud department caught it but it's still a pain that the info is likely out on the dark web now.

Hopefully this doesn't come in three's ...

Tomorrow is the CFL Eastern Conference finals at BMO field in Toronto. If the Tiger-Cats win, we then move onto the Grey Cup, which is hosted here in Hamilton this year. 

That game is next Sunday.

Ahhh got it. I thought you were talking about US college football lol. Its also Conference Finals/Championship weekend.

Conference Championship Football game. 

Stormed the field. My son pointed out that the ice on the ground was where Fickell got his Gatorade dump. 
 

College football can be a ton of fun. A great year to have season tickets and go on a Road trip to Notre Dame to give Kelly his last loss and home loss while at ND. 
 

unfortunate that UC will likely play Alabama in the playoffs in Florida.

Might have had plans at some point to relax after a busy week. But my two year old son was violently ill Wednesday night and Thursday morning. If that wasn't bad enough my wife and I caught it by Thursday night too. I think by now, very early Sunday morning we're more or less functional. Having my first cigar since Tuesday.
