Hi all,

Mrs has started enjoying a cigar with me. At the moment I have been giving her Cohiba shorts, panatelas and last night an Upmann half corona. Think she enjoyed the half corona the best.

Wondering what others might be worth a go.

Surely the fairer sex wont burst into flames no matter what cigar they are offered?   Sorry this isn't intended to be a 'woke comment',  I just found myself writing "maybe she would like a PLMC or a LGCMed No 4",  then I thought to myself surely the only possibly influencer on the difference between men and women (with regards to cigars) is lighter physical body weight, hence less tolerance of nicotine.

So in short, i would offer her anything other than say a young JL1, MAG46, Upmann no 2, Boli Beli, Party 898 etc etc

Lol. Not so much as offered, she starts looking herself whilst I’m trying to figure something out for myself. I have plenty of singles that she can grab (~500+) without breaking into boxes, just don’t wanna waste any on half smoked and discarded.

I’ll give the PLMC a go. Good excuse to grab another couple boxes.

You could try the RyJ Julieta, a cigar designed specifically for women:

Julieta puts together the characteristics of a Habano to be enjoyed in short periods of time, following the life rhythm of today’s women, sophisticated and active. The pack in which it is presented has been exclusively designed for this vitola, reproducing the colors and logo of the Romeo y Julieta brand, but with a modern touch of rounded borders that makes it very practical and easy to carry.

One of Habanos' weirder moments.

I have found that the ladies in my life who have asked to smoke my cigars, have preferred light-medium bodied cigars with sweet creamy notes. Aged PLMC/PLPC, HdM Des Dieux, Trini Fundadores, Monte 4. None of them have gone for churchills, double coronas, or any full-bodied cigars. HUHC and Monte MC have been popular in the beginning, more so because of the size. They are not stuck smoking a bigger cigar, or feel guilty wasting, if they decide to lay it down (not that I would have minded, to be honest).

Fuzz you are aware handing out DD's on a date is technically illegal.  With a mind saturated in deep rich tarry vanilla pods, and exotic woods,  this is what you would look like over the other side of the table.

My girlfriend tends to like smaller cigars when she has one for herself although honestly she tends to prefer stronger or tougher around the edges cigars than I do. Huhc’s and MDO 4’s stuck out as ones she really enjoyed. Though I don’t know how anyone who likes cigars wouldn’t enjoy MdO’s, honestly HUHC’s aren’t particularly to my taste.

I've probably handed out more than a dozen DDs to my lady friends over the years. Whilst it has taken a toll on my hoard, it has been worth it, to say the least. B)

The next favourite cigar handed out would be well aged PLPC. Those caramel sticks are very well appreciated.

I believe this GIF explains well what happens after you give a DD. This must be you most weekends.....https://tenor.com/view/snusnu-zapp-futurama-gif-5132604

My wife will usually smoke anything that I smoke, but really enjoys the PL panatelas and monte carlos, and the fonseca delicias and cosacos.

I think light-medium strength, thin-medium RG cigars such as Siglo II, HUHC, and MdO No. 4 would be good for her, since she just began the CC journey. When she passed beginner-intermediate stage, I recommend her to try richer and flavourful smokes like Connie A, CORO, RASS, JL2, Leyenda.

Gave my girlfriend LGC Med 4, a 3 year old PLPC, El Principe. So far she enjoys Principe the most

Lady Piggy does not really enjoy any tobacco anymore. However if she has drank enough she will sometimes take my cigar and puff on it a few times. I believe this is more about some desire to take something of mine and get in the face of other ladies... She has some strange motivations...She no longer wants her own cigar.

I smoke with her on the porch most times when I smoke. She always asks about it, typically if it is a fragrant cigar or just comments if it is off-putting to her.

I would comment on the DD's thing, but I have lady friends on the board!!! -LOL

As I said elsewhere before a few times - my wife consistently enjoys Monte Open Junior. She only smokes a cigar when we’re in a social setting with other cigar smokers, very rarely at home just her and me. She’ll try what I smoke or what I brought to the party but she always falls back on the Open Junior.

Although my wife would never smoke a cigar, she does have opinions on whether they "stink" or not.  Upmann and Cohiba are the least offensive smelling to her and she will actually sit with me on the patio while I smoke those.  If I'm looking for some alone time, the Partagas comes out. ?

My daughters will actually take a few puffs when they are in town and they prefer cigars on the mild side as I would expect most beginners would.  Mostly, they don't seem interested in spending time just sitting and enjoying any entire cigar.  I've tried to see if they liked a petite corona enough to smoke the entire cigar but I haven't seen either of them get through a whole one.

The Mrs. will never smoke her own cigar but will generally puff on whatever I am smoking. I feel like she generally has spot on taste as well.

I mean....trading DDs for DDs...well I'd be open to that

Although that isn’t my particular focus, it was my first thought when I read it. ?

My bride’s tastes have evolved over the years, as have mine. I recently gifted her with some mild-medium NCs and, while she enjoyed them, she wanted something fuller. So far the only CCs she has had were Partagas Mille Fleurs. I am looking forward to sharing a Monte #2 and a CoRo with her.

Cigarllos are a good small novice smoker option but most are fairly strong and can turn some off. And most small CC offerings also tend to be on the stronger side.

If the HUHC appeals to her I'd strongly suggest the RyJ Petit Royales. The ERDM Demi Tasse is also a great option as is the Hoyo Du Maire.

Mrs enjoyed the 8 yr old PLMC last night, but lucky for me enjoyed the HUHC more. ?
