The Montecristo number series are nice when they are on. However, need to be lucky to score a nice/right box. Even the Edmundos and Doubles/Petit are like that. IMO, only the El Laguito Edmundos are consistently good. But there’s not that many of them.

With Montecristo Especiales No. 2, I find they taste great even when young. They are better with just a few years of maturity. Just the shape and size are the exact opposite of the current trend. That is why I believe this is underrated and under the radar. Cheers!

I was actually going to ask the same thing.  I've had my share of numbers 1-5, I've had more of them than anything else, but I've never had an especial 1 or 2.  Might have to pick up a box to compare them next time they come up on 24:24.
