HoyoFan Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Hey guys, I’m a sucker for dessert flavor full body smokes. If I was looking for just pure chocolate I’d probably just be smoking Maduros. But I really love a cigar that has more than one dimension. So what are your favorite current or last few years favorite dessert sticks. By dessert I mean the sweeter fuller side, with blasts of sweet chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cream, etc. Thanks!
Mikeltee Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Black and mild Jazz with the wood tip! They evolve so well that when I review them I do so in 1/8s vs the standardized 1/3 format. The best part about them is there is no such thing as a nub. You smoke em til you smell wood burning which is why I prefer the wood tip to the plastic tip. I was considering doing a freestyle review on them for a draw at a box this month.
Meklown Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 RASS tastes like christmas (dried fruit) cake to me - not in your list of "chocolate/caramel/vanilla" but still dessert nonetheless 1
JoeyBones777 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I wouldn't consider any of these full bodied but: Montecristo No.1- chocolate, sweet biscuit, cream H. Upmann Connie 1- cake doughnut, almonds, creamed coffee Fonseca No.1- vanilla, buttercream, flowers Hoyo de Monterrey double Corona- cream, sweet spices, wood RASS - burnt raisin toast, stewed fruit Por Larranaga Petit Corona - burnt sugar(caramel after 5 years or so), cedar, toasted tobacco 1
In-A-Gadda-Davidoff Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 For my tastes, the VR Unicos delivers dessert chocolate more than I've found in any cigar. Monte 1 and 3 always deliver a dark chocolate profile on my palate, but for sweet chocolate creaminess the VR Unicos is tops for me.
Tstew75 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Montecristo Eddies & Dbl Eddies are always pure baking chocolate.
TTP21 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I've had multiple Monte 5 from an EPM ENE 18 box that have been decadent chocolate with occasional blasts of bourbon(vanilla/cinnamon but alcohol) that hit the dessert profile for me. ERDM Choix also hit dessert notes, but at the opposite end of the spectrum. More fruity, angel food cake type notes.
prodigy Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Trini Reyes is the ultimate dessert smoke for me. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk 1

Smoked a EPM ENE 18 Monte 5 last night, can confirm that they're little desert sticks. Wish I'd bought a box instead of a sampler.
99call Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Rafael Gonzalez Petit Coronas are all crystallised chestnut puree (aka marron glace) to me. Love this sweet morrish taste of Christmas.
rcarlson Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Paper? Fonseca 1. Marshmallow. Cool smoke if patient. Easy on the spleen. Equally good morning smoke. China? Trini Fundi. Rich cookie. Postprandial nirvana.

Wookie Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I find most Monte to be savory but smoke it with a sweet coffee or bourbon and you have a perfect dessert.
HoyoFan Posted November 13, 2019 Author Posted November 13, 2019 So interesting to see how different peoples’ palates are
SCgarman Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 SCdLH El Principe. Tons of fudge, dark brooding chocolate. By far exemplifies the definition of dessert.
mtapia3 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 The cigars I consider to be dessert smokes other than my beloved Partagas Maduro No 1 : VR Unicos/Famosos SCDLH Punta/Fuerza Monte PE Fonseca No. 1 BBF And most of the ELs that I've tried.
nKostyan Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Montecristo Edmundos Line with light wrapper
