Popular Post bishop532 Posted December 28, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted December 28, 2022 A couple boxes of panatelas - Le Galera Cepo (5 x 37 Connecticut) and Saga Short Tales Tomo V (5 x 34 also Connecticut) - and a handful of singles from Hamlet (25th year Robusto), HVC (Seleccion No1 Corona Gorda), and Illusione (f9 lonsdales and haut 10 toro - 5.5 x 52). The La Galera cepo is a long-standing favorite of mine, great size and great taste for well under $4 a stick. Hadn’t tried the short tales before this purchase - they are great. Obviously I like the skinnies, it’s great to see the NC community picking up the slack the Cubans are dropping in that area due to their relentless trend chasing). I don't hear them mentioned all that often but I haven't heard anything negative about them other than they aren't all that complex. I think the Perdomo line has some good flavor for the money but I would agree not overly complex. I’ve got a half box or so of champagne reserve Connecticut epicure and I like them decently enough but definitely not one I reach for regularly.
