For us in Apsen with a 4 year old the play is Buttermilk. We stay right at the Inn at the bottom, you’re 10 min from downtown and the restaurants and 10-15 from Snowmass. A week at Buttermilk was like a break through for my son when he was 3….like a mountain of greens, great spot to hone skills. 

For kids, the ski school at Snowmass was the best of all the many that they attended when they were young.

Unfortunately Massachusetts went tax-crazy.  There used to be a number of great cigar shops in Boston. I’ve got a beautiful Elie Bleu humidor and all sorts of fancy stuff from them over the years. LJ Peretti specializes in pipes and pipe tobacco and probably ships it everywhere. That might be what’s allowing them to hang in there while others closed their shops.

Big day in the El Hoze house. After 18 years working for the same company (we sold it and our parent was later itself acquired) I finally decided today was the day to tell the empty suit corporate pencil pushers upstairs to go F themselves. My exact words were “I wish you the best of luck.” I’m on calls in the Florida heat figured a good old Epi 2 was a good way to start off what will no doubt be a multi-cigar day. My first time since college I can say I don’t have a job. My wife says I am already a new man! 😂
