But I have been very lucky with such cigars (99-01 and one late 98), though I've only had maybe half a dozen so far. No tight draws and flavours have been generally good. Don't know if I was just lucky or if time has helped.

I have been lucky with cigars from that time period as well. The vitola that I smoked the most from these years is the Lonsdale and I've never had a problem. Most of my plugged ones were Petit Coronas.

HDM Epicure No.2 OBM APR 17. Last from the box. Stacked coins for ash. I won’t miss this box although the best tasting cigar I ever had was from it. The best was the first and the remainder were average at best

Rio seco...I might’ve dry boxed it for too long, it was burning fast ( finished it in 75 min vs my usual almost two hours ) 

enjoyed it nonetheless, 90 points

@Cigarsmoker81 that’s one of the common complaints of the rio seco is it burns too fast for such a large cigar.

I have generally really liked them. Had one a few weeks back and wasn’t overly impressed. Seemed one dimensional. All wood.

LGB MAY 20 from a 10ct box. First one and a bad one. No draw, perfect draw couldn’t even help. I don’t even think it was plugged, just bad construction and bunching. Tossed and went for a OR don carlos.

This was the 3rd from my box, the first 2 were good, but this one was on another level and really got better as it smoked down. I love when a cigar does this....it’s usually the other way around.

Petite Royale from the other night. First time with this vitola. Nice smoke. I encountered a couple of brief changes in this shorty. Will keep an eye out for more.

2003 SLR Lonsdale. Should have been celebrating something last night but felt too exhausted.

Hit a minor setback earlier tonight, but Saturday is the best cigar time of the week for me so might as well.

So far so good. Fruit and leather/earth. Lots of complexity there I'm sure but I'll leave that for the reviews
