I had to edit your post to include 'reputable vendors' and not the name of the distributors you quoted. The reason for this is due to Rule 5 below...

There are thousands of online suppliers of cigars around the world. Some good, some average some thieves. This board does not discuss any.

Please keep this in mind for the future.

In regards to your experiences, know that getting habanos cigars that underwhelm is a normal occurrence. It balances itself out with other habanos cigars that are exemplary to smoke, this is why we keep at this hobby. Furthermore, you are new to smoking Cuban cigars and what happens as you smoke more is that you develop a tolerance for these cigars that disappoint. In the future you won't feel as frustrated as you do now, trust me.

Very busy week with work so not much spare time.  I still managed to sneak in a 2015 D4 and a 2014 Party short from a box I was gifted by a very good friend...it made the week a little more bearable!

Not quite ready.  It didn't taste bad or anything, but it was far from it's potential.  But it could also just be air sickness.  I'll give another one a try in about 3 months.
