Popular Post DeeBeezy Posted July 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2020 JL2 MEL DIC 16. I will preface by saying that I smoked this with a soar throat which for sure impeded my ability to enjoy it as much as I otherwise would have under normal circumstances. The JL2 is a cigar that I had very minimal experience with, the last one I sampled was three years ago. This is a very popular cigar on the forum and Rob seems to rave about them, I wanted to discover what the hype was about. The first third gave a distinct sweet coffee cake flavour on the draw which was accompanied by a creamy note before giving way to a cherry flavour on the finish. As I moved into the second third the coffee cake took a back seat and made way to a spicy chocolate with an orange flavour on the finish. As I moved into the last third the prominent coffee cake flavour was back This time with a general citrus on the finish. This cigar was very distinct and complex the flavours were easily detectable. This was arguably The most full flavoured Cuban cigar I have had in a long while. Whilst I did enjoy the cigar and can’t fault it for much I have a few criticisms. The fruity flavours that came from this stick were a tad bitter for my liking. Furthermore, in such a crowded robusto market I cannot say that I would rush out to grab a 5 boxes of these. Having said that I did recently order a clearance box and will look forward to trying those. complex cigar, flavours perhaps not exactly in my wheelhouse. 91 points from me. 26

Popular Post Edward7 Posted July 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2020 My two cigars during golf today. Novedoso and a Diplo 2 from 2015. Honestly, neither were all that good to me. This cohiba was the least cohiba-esque cigar I’ve had. 23

Popular Post JohnS Posted July 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2020 Cohiba Medio Siglo UTL Nov 2019 The Cohiba Medio Siglo is currently enjoying a solid reputation on our forum as a quality 'go-to' cigar which, antithetically in relation to other Cohiba cigars, can be smoked and enjoyed with minimal time rest. The one main distinction I have enjoyed in all the Medio Siglos I've smoked this year is the consistent honeycomb biscuit in them, something akin to a UK Cadbury Crunchie confectionary or the similar Australian Violet Crumble. This cigar also had the hallmarks of Cohiba grass/hay, butter and mocha coffee, making it like a 'pared-down' Cohiba Siglo VI. It wasn't perfect, the flaky ash and inconsistent burn accounted for that, but for a cigar I smoked right-off-the-truck, it was superb flavour-wise. Despite being released in late 2016, I'm currently 'kicking myself' as to why it took me a little over three years to get into these. I suppose I was busy enjoying other fine Habanos cigars in the meantime! 33
Popular Post torsion Posted July 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2020 Partagas Serie E No.2 - UEB MAY 19. Another regular production cigar done right.Though I love an aged D4, the E2 holds its own in the Partagas line up. Not smoked a Lusitania this year yet so that's on my mind. This one barely over a year old but for me the blend is class. This one was from those handy 5 pack boxes. Don't be complacent in life, to move forward there will be risks and discomfort and there's no failure if you've given it your best shot. Some deep thoughts over the past few months. I am getting more creamy nuts ? and hints of leather so far. Slight pepper and spices starting now 1/3 in. Nice under medium to medium smoke. 28 1
