FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Some great cigars last week. Thank you @IanMcLean68 for the PLMC. 4 years old and...wow. Such an elegant and refined smoke. The caramel, nut and toasted tobacco notes marry up very well. The retrohale....well...silky smooth! Whilst these are good these also benefit from age!

Thank you @Elpresidente for this Beautiful Punch 898. Strong notes of peanut and coffee. The retrohale was unbelievably smooth for such a young cigar. Simply wow! Grab a box if you can!

PLPC tonight. Bought this from a local B&M to try young because I have a 50 cab sitting in my humidor resting. Nice smoke. Bit of mongrel to it which is different. Paired with a Green Chartreuse Frappe.

(UGO JUL 19)  For @CptGoodTimes who asked if Hoyo DCs smoke good young.  I always drybox a single for a week from a fresh box.  Answer - Yes!  Cream, white pepper, baking spices, mild earthy/toasted tobacco, smooth.  There is a young freshness in that I can see the flavors will only become more pronounced over time but nothing offensive to speak of.  Not what I expected but again 2019 is batting 1000 for me.  90+ right now.

Smoking one of my dad’s epi 2’s. I keep my humidor at 62-65 and he keeps his around 70. It’s a nice change to smoke a cigar that’s been kept at 70%. Cigar’s pretty good.

Diplomáticos No.2 EML Ago 2014

Of all my stock from 2014, this humble Clearance-graded box purchased from our generous host in 2015 could possibly be the best. Well, I've certainly being pleased with half the box almost consumed thus far!

This was only the second cigar from this box that was very light on sourdough, in fact, it was almost undetectable! Instead, the spine of this cigar was pretty much a combination of wood and toasted tobacco combined with a core Diplomaticos capsicum or bell pepper and paprika spice. You'd agree, I'm sure, that if you are agreeable to enjoying a Diplomaticos cigar then these flavours would certainly resonate with you.

The only caveat I have to add would be that the strong plumes of smoke necessitated a shorter puff and longer intervals in-between, so my cigar required a re-light a few times. It still didn't negate how good this cigar was, however!

You'll be hard pressed to find a box of hoyo dcs that aren't great, in my experience. Solid performer.

My Maui family trip. Most anti smoke place in the United States. Still found a friendly patch of sand to smoke on. Only squeezed 3 cigars in during a 4 night trip. 
qdo 50, bbf and a qdo 54 later before my red eye back to Los Angeles.

MAR 14H Upmann Connie A paired with a little Lagavulin 16 Year Scotch. So nice to have tomorrow off so had to go with this cigar-scotch combo cause its delicous. The smooth twangyness of the Connie A paired with the smokey, stinky, peatiness of a fantastic Islay scotch. I find this a perfect pairing for the night. Anyways, I hope everyone had a wonderful week.
