This morning watching F1 qualifying which I quite enjoyed a RAE JUN 15 Party Short.



LGR ABR 18 Punch 48. Flavors good, construction not great.


Update:
Punch 48 I quickly tossed. After a crazy week my patience to try to work through the construction issues was near zero. Under filled with soft spots.

Need something reliable so Monsdale it is.

Yep I'm only smoking these freshies as I want more age on my 15/16s. Like a messed up back to front rotation. I just miss them too much to wait

The 1926 Padron series are made with tobacco aged five years.  You can age them but it’s not going to necessarily  get better with age.

Tonight smoking this lovely '14 Trinidad Fundadores paired with a little Calumet 12 year Bourbon. Last night forgot to post this MOB JUN 14 Hoyo De Monterey Double Corona paired with a Guinness Stout after 7 midnights shifts this past week its good to be back at it again smoking habanos and enjoying life. Have a good rest of the weekend all!

Great construction and burn

Lots of intensity for a mellow flavor profile.

ALT May 13 Siglo V

I was going to review this cigar for the Cohiba review contest, but then I decided it was too much work for a Sunday.  Nice cigar though.  Started with a taste of cedar with hints of peaches and cream.  Moved on to flavors of hay, lemongrass, and honey.  Now at the end, it has a very woody taste in combination with a twang of juicy fruit gum.

Bolívar Gold Medal LSO Jul 2007 (thanks @Luca!)

Again gifted by @Luca, this was every bit as good as the last Bolivar Gold Medal I smoked around six months ago. That was distinctive for me for its wonderful marshmallow texture and this was much the same, thankfully!

Again, I got notes of light cocoa, a caramel or burnt honey sweetness and some typical Bolivar leather and earthiness, albeit just a touch of these latter two flavours due to age, but the marshmallow texture was more like the confectionery Rocky Road because of the sweetness of the cigar.

This was also a pleasure to retrohale throughout, was mild and cool well into the last third, and made me wish that I had another handy to light straight after! Surely this is the hallmark of a great cigar?

The 2007 LCDH run of this vitola was not as well received as the initial 2004 run, however, after smoking two of these mid-2007 Gold Medals, I can reassure you that a cigar like this would make you wish you stocked up at the time. In my opinion, they have been that good to smoke this year.
