For a cheap smoke this is definitely cheerful.  I get lightly sweetened coffee and tobacco.  The burn has been perfect and the sweetness gradually builds.  Thanks @MigsG for introducing me to it.  This one is exceeding expectations.

Second one from a 6 pack. First was pretty one dimensional but was structurally sound. This one was a fight to keep lit, but the flavors were good.  Here's hoping 3 through 6 are the ideal blend of the 2 experiences thus far.

Like @JohnS stated.  I've also come to favour it.  I found it quite a strange thing to get my head around, i.e this simple rich high quality tobacco flavour.  I liken it to be a bit like going fishing, you don't catch anything and feel a bit sorry for yourself,  but then you look up, realise you've been enjoying a fabulous vista, and the company of great friends etc.    Defintely one of those cigars, that the less you "go after it"  the more you enjoy it.

Late morning PLMC LGR NOV 17 and live shot of what I am smoking now Connie A MEG JUN 16.  I tried one of the PLMC ROTT and hated it in the December time frame. The one today was much better, shows the need for the down time even when they have some age.   Connie A is starting great....

El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse MLU Dic 2018

I was so eager today to try one of these Demi Tasses from a new box I acquired recently. Unfortunately, I was profoundly disappointed with the experience. That youthful 'toastiness', citrus, fruit and honey was there, it was just hard to find when the cigar was plugged like it was. Sure, PerfectDraw helped but by then I had enough of 'slobbering' all over the mouth of the cigar, wetting the head and getting a bitter edge to the small amounts of wispy smoke per draw. See, it happens to all of us!

Funnily enough, I coincidentally was on a forum post that El Pres had initiated a few years ago which discussed the demise of skinny cigars not being due to a lack of demand of modern consumers, as Habanos S.A. currently claim, but rather to poor construction issues in the 90's and 2000's, mainly plugging. After today's smoke I can empathise with how frustrating it can be to smoke a plugged skinny cigar. The flip-side to this is the fact that they can be sensational when construction is not an issue.

Coffee, leather and toasted sweet tobacco in spades. Smell is really good. Brings me back to my childhood and sitting next to my grandpa just so cigar like. Sweet toasted tobacco all in the air ....

nc but a line i enjoy just bought at the Chs herf as the door fee so to speak slightly loose draw but enjoyable

Yep, what attracted me to CCs in the first place was those sweet memories of sitting with my grandfather who rarely didn't have a cigar in his hand.

I still have 1 old 898 varnished box he once smoked. And a bunch or Corina larks plastic boxes to hold nails, screws etc. always great memories.

Enjoyed this yesterday afternoon, a light but flavorful cigar. Seemed to have a citrus flavor, intermingled with leather and cedar.  Burned well, no issues whatsoever.  Different from all other Hoyo de Monterrey I've tried.  Worth a try if you like a light, summer cigar in this size.

Got some years on this and I can tell it has had a very nice effect of smoothing out the flavor delivery.
