What's up for the weekend?

Great day fishing with Tom yesterday. He turned 21 on Tuesday and I wanted to spend a day one on one which we did fishing yesterday. 

Today, Di, I, my kids and partners are all out for a long and slightly pissy lunch to celebrate. Good fun 

Tomorrow is champagne masterclass with what looks to be an excellent group. Kicks off at 10am my time and Looking forward to it. 

Best I fit in some gym sessions as it looks like it is going to be one of those weekends

I have a three year old son and live on a street that might just be the center of the Halloween universe…the whole town comes to my street to trick or treat. I spent $300 on candy last year and ran out. The whole weekend will be Halloween related (which thankfully involves drinking in this neck of the woods) other than the champagne tasting on Saturday (which also clearly involves drinking). 

Ironically, my son is dressed as St. Francis of Assisi….a monk’s robe with a dove on his shoulder. I told my wife should the dove somehow get lost his costume will then be Dom Perignon.

Weekend off! Cowgirls at Vikings Halloween night. Carve my Ragnar pumpkin tonight, while my wife is carving her Braves pumpkin. Must buy more candy for the gremlins, lest they become annoyed with me and throw toilet paper on the trees... Will smoke a mystery cigar tomorrow night for the competition!

I'm going fishing for fall King Salmon. And I will be smoking an aged cigar!

Trader Vic's across the Bay in Emeryville CA unveiled a new cocktail menu yesterday and just went back to full dinner service so heading over there for dinner and mai tais tomorrow night. Otherwise relaxing and probably recovering from too many mai tais

It's cooled off nicely here (70F/21C) so doing some work around the yard and pool.

World Series on while enjoying some bubbly with the chaps here.

World Series tonight and Sunday as well. Hope Sunday is the final game!

Bound to get the Spider out for a fall drive, found a great run through the woods this week on the way to Ormond to drop my G37S at the body shop. 

Just finally got her titled and tagged after almost 3 months. That's a story for another time.

Some good food, drink and cigars throughout.

Got a friends birthday party at the local tiki lounge, where they have divine cocktails and rum selection and then tomorrow taking photos at a local DIY show otherwise I would have been there at that champagne master class!

Just bought a new car so we might stretch it’s legs on a quick trip to Madison to have lunch with my daughter and her boyfriend Saturday. Sunday is all about football and candy for the neighborhood kids.

Right now an estuary. But I plan on fishing a mid sized river in southern Oregon at some point in late November.

is it big enough water for open water trolling from a boat, or are you fishing from the shore (float fishing I suspect). 

I do a ton of King Salmon fishing, but once they get dark, I let them be. So I don't have a ton of fishing fall run salmon.

Looks like the weekend plans have taken a turn.

Got a couple of dugout seats for Game 4. Taking my nephew that lives in Atlanta.

Quick flight up in the morning, go to the game, quick flight back Sunday.

Seems like I'll miss the champers event and the yard work...

Hosting a children’s Halloween party with about 25 kids ranging from ages 2 to 8, and similar number of adults. Between that and trick or treating, hopefully squeeze in a smoke or two. Dad life!

I normally work weekends but I took this one off so I could spend Halloween with the kids. My daughter is 3 and loves Halloween all year long. I’ll be buying pizzas and a bunch of beer. My wife’s family will be coming over and they are a ton of fun (they can drink quite a bit). Our neighborhood is huge with trick or treating. Streets packed with kids and parents on golf carts blaring music. Some parents hand out candy to the kids and beer for the adults. I’ll be handing out candy while having a beer or ten and also a cigar.

First Michigan versus Michigan State - great game!  Then walked 9 holes with the wife on a beautiful Florida late afternoon and met some friends for dinner at the club.  After several martinis it was a very good night sleeping for a change.  Got up, smoked a RGP with my coffee, made brunch for the wife and then off to Walmart on a Bourbon expedition (see below).  A few chores around the house and of course some Sunday football.  Probably will have another good CC after dinner.  Good relaxing weekend!

Nursing a cold (and therefore much fewer cigars than normal), avoiding trick/treaters (they've started early this year) and generally being grumpy....
