Before the Romeo y Julieta Churchill we had a Romeo y Julieta cigar of the same dimensions named after the French Prime Minister of the early 20th century, Georges Clemenceau, hence the reference and the size.

Being a sentimental and historical person of our hobby, I am very much interested in this cigar. Thanks! 👍

It's definitely good QdO RE release, since it's a historical CC like RyJ Churchill. I wish that HSA will add that cigar to QdO's regular production portfolio just like they did with Boli Libertadors.

Unfortunately the chances of a Julieta 2 being added to regular production are slim and none. It's a shame since I have a new appreciation for Julieta 2s since the large RG trend took off. 

I do wonder how these will compare to the Imperiales. I hope they do what they did with the ERDM Tainos.

Much agreed. The monsterous donkey dick RG cigars are really popular even in Korea nowadays. As a long CC size fan, it's sad to see Julieta 2s being cut down to three in CC portfolio 😭.

I wish that long CCs like Julieta 2 will rise again, as I'm not a huge fan of 55 RG+ cigars. I really wonder how does it taste like compare to QdO Imperiales.

Hoyo has the Escogidos that's a Pacos vitola one eighth of an inch longer and 2 RG thicker.

And Montecristo is set to get the herederos 47x6 3/8.

So it's not that impossible in a LCDH format.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Habanos’ exclusive distributor in France, Coprova, has decided to reintroduce one of Quai d’Orsay’s most iconic cigars of the 1970s, the Imperiales.

This exclusive Regional Edition for France also pays tribute to Georges Clemenceau, a French statesman who more than a century ago lent his name to a habano of the same format, the Julieta No. 2, even better known as the Churchill.

THE REGIONAL EDITION CONCEPT
As indicated on its second ring, which bears the inscription “Exclusivo Francia”, these Regional Editions are available exclusively in France and only in specific formats that are otherwise unavailable in the brand’s range.
These cigars are an exclusive, limited-edition line sold in numbered boxes, available from October 12.

The Quai d’Orsay Clemenceau is “Totalmente a Mano” (entirely handmade) with tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo* region in the Pinar del Río province.

I may be wrong but 150,000 cigars sounds higher than normal for a regional release.

FWIW, my person in France called three of the big Paris stores this morning, and none said they have it for sale even though today is release day.

Would not surprise me if they just said this on the phone and had tons in-stock 😝. Have been told many times walking into La Civette that there was nothing special, only to wear down the staff and leave with a Reserva/GR/Capitolio box.

My parents in-law were just in Paris and I asked them to pop by Le Lotus and à la Civette to grab me some QdOs. Absolutely nothing in the way of Cuban inventory of any type. I hope this release actually finds its way into the shops.

Very well could be. Civette and Maison Lemaire both said they would get them but just not today.

I've seen one box on another forum, they said that the retailer only had 10 boxes and has given the opportunity to their 10 best customers.
