smbauerllc Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 For me, Robusto is my preferred, then Pyramid, then Petit Corona. Anything larger than a Pyramid, I don’t care for.I'm pretty much the same other than the fact I do smoke ones larger than a piramide , but 7 inches or 54rg is pretty much the limit for meSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Gubbins Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Almost 4 years later… Curious to see who lived up to their word and stopped buying (CC,) who transitioned over to New Worlds, and who is still buying without prejudice in this market? Where do you currently stand when it comes to 2025 Cuban cigar prices? 1

Havanaaddict Posted April 20 Posted April 20 At this point, I would say between $23 and $25 is what I have to pay. But buying has changed!😪 2
Bagman Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Lived up to my word. Have purchased no Cubans in 3 years, 100% non-Cubans. Finding so many great ones. In fairness, I have an insane amount of Cubans in storage. 1
Hammer Smokin' Posted April 21 Posted April 21 My last purchase was in 2022 on 24:24, and that was a single purchase in 2022. Last consistent purchases was still in the before times.
Gubbins Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I’m still stocking up, to keep me going for next 5/10 years Once this humidor is filled though, I think I might have to call it. 1
djrey Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 Definitely interesting to bring this discussion back to life. I was priced out of CC's years ago. My smoking has been reduced and I blend NC into the mix. At my current rate I would assume I have about 10 years of CC's left. 1
Ford2112 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I definitely have slowed down my spending but I still buy here and there. Certainly have supplemented NCs and have been exploring the cheaper options of CCs. This hobby is still very fun and interesting to me. When it ceases to be so is when I quit, or health forces me out. 3
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted April 21 Popular Post Posted April 21 I was regularly buying around 100 CCs a month. Now, I'm buying less than 100 each year. I'd use Monte 2 and HU2 as my benchmarks. They were very nice daily smokes at $11-13 and I was happy to buy them regularly. At over $30 now, they aren't worth it. And, once you get used to paying $34 for a Monte 2, then $16 for a PC seems normal..not for me. Nudies and remaining CC stock are working well as a dynamic duo for my daily smoking itch. At some point very soon, the remaining CCs I have will be smoked much less often since replacing them isn't going to happen. 7 1
Popular Post joeypots Posted April 21 Popular Post Posted April 21 If I can keep it down to buying 100 cigars a year I'll be able to smoke mainly Cuban cigars. I think I'd have a hard time buying a top tier box, like over a grand, so I'm not going to go wild. Next buy might be something like two boxes of Punch Punch. 5
cnov Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I've tried to buy less and have been reasonably successful. The problem is good cigars, I have a reasonable amount stashed away but whenever I have a good one I start thinking I should buy more before the prices go north. 3
Popular Post JohnS Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 Like everyone here, my pace of acquisition has decreased to a trickle in comparison to what it was five to ten years ago. I still like to try new releases that are 'hot' or replace stock now and then, but it's becoming more sparse in habit than what it used to be, obviously. 10
Popular Post griller Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 I've cut way back on new CC acquisitions, too. Pricing is the #1 factor, and I'll probably max out a 2-3 boxes this year & for those going forward. Supplementing with Nudies, NCs, & JohnnyO customs and don't really feel like I'm giving any of the enjoyment up. My CC inventory is solid for my smoking habits & I doubt I'll ever zero out my stash unless I move to a climate that is more temperate during the summer and winter months. 5
Edicion Posted April 23 Posted April 23 The main change in terms of CCs for me is that I stopped buying Trinidads and Cohiba, Regional Editions and LEs. I may buy new stock less frequently too but that's mainly due to having bought a lot in the past and stashed away. For NCs, I've definitely transitioned into smoking them more often as daily drivers compared to CCs.
vinnyvega Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I haven't purchased a box of current production cigars since 2021. It sucks but there's now way to justify paying the 4x to 6x hike.
Bijan Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Haven't bought a cigar since 2023. And I only bought one full box in 2023. 2
Lucas Buck Posted April 23 Posted April 23 For regular production I’m willing to go to about $30. Maybe up to about $50 for EL & RE. 1
