A very welcome mail call this morning. Three boxes that have made the journey twice and arrived in excellent condition! H. Upmann Mag 46 GEM ABR 20, RAmon Allones Small Club Coronas ETP MAR 17 and Montecristo Edmundos GOS OCT 19. All smell rich and ready to burn!

No doubt with the box being from a time when factory names were still literally stamped onto the bottom (plus, not aware of any Extra having ever been made outside Partagás - unlike desDs ?)

Enjoy them, a true classic and a favourite! Hope provenance is fine!

Indeed they are a classic, one of my favorites. Provenance is an LCDH in Europe, and inspection didn’t yield any red flags, so hoping for the best.

These finally showed up! I thought they were lost forever in the postal system black hole. But enough prayers and emails to the logistics team and a sacrifice to the cigar gods, a text from postal system appears! My package has been received by the local distribution center.

Furthermore, something else that can't be done, especially here in the Cuban Cigar Purchase thread, is state the shipping history or current tracking of your acquisition...

Monte #4's (RUB MAY-19) - two slightly different shades in the same box code.  Not at all unusual and something that has been discussed here on many different posts.  Both look and smell very good.  Can't wait until they acclimate to try one from each box and see if the wrapper changes the taste.

My first box of Dip 2s: RAT JUL 20. I’ll be very interested to compare with my RAT JUN 20 Monte no.2s. Turns out my four youngest boxes are now all pyramides from 2020: P2s, M2s, Unicos and now the Dips. These were HQ grade and they smell fantastic: very much in the Partagas zone of vegetal, slightly feral richness. Must wait patiently now...
