I'm feeling better today,  Not as dark, tense, and angry as I have been the past several days. Today was better. Chores around the house, building a new humidor, repaired a door frame, and just being

Laphroaig Cairdeas 2014. Great stuff!! Unfortunately, I only had a sample courtesy of a generous BOTL from the German forum.

A heavy pour of Four Roses 2014 Single Barrel Limited Edition, tons of milk chocolate on a very long finish with hints of wood. Think the the smell of a dry sauna mixed with milk cholocate. Compleatly awesome. My best bourbon of the year.

Not much left in my glass (or the bottle :) ) but enjoying a 2008 Burrowing Owl Merlot. Not normally big on Canadian red but I've been opening one of these about every 15 months and they continue to be much more enjoyable than I would have expected. This come from the Kelowna region in British Columbia and they certainly do red wine better than Niagara, ON. Climate definitely suits it more.

The rum was a monster - great aroma but simply too strong and when diluted with water, the aroma went away. The Whisky was killer.

Thanks to some friends in the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society, I got to try some Craggenmore 18, matured in sherry casks, I've never had before, along with a new barrel strength bourbon that reminded me of George T. Stagg. I will be adding this to the bar soon.
