First cigar in Delhi. One of those 09 Choix Supreme that flooded the market recently. Very nice cigar but box quality varies alot. The cycle rickshaws kept me company. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro21 points

TUP SEP 14 (mostly) from a recent quarter box 24:24 purchase. Loved the spiced cream and earthiness that came from this cigar. Huge plumes of smoke with no relights. Construction was spot on. I tapped the ask off almost at the halfway point so I didn’t make a mess of my jeans. Very nice smoke and much better than the one I had ROTT.16 points

La Gloria Cubana Taínos LRE Dic 2009 It was my very great pleasure to share this much-missed Churchill-sized vitola with some dear friends, Trevor Leask and Alexander Groom, who together represent the reason we have Cuban Cigar Website as we have it today. What a delightful time it was to reminisce over current Habanos cigar culture and the changes to Cuban Cigar Website over the years. This cigar, at ten years of age, smoked wonderfully well. The ash-length was consistent, as were the rings (or ridges in the ash). There was a slight coning off every ash, which for me, is a sign of proper rolling. In terms of flavour, La Gloria Cubana can be complex when young. When older I've found that these LGC Tainos aged varieties meld into a distinctive fruitcake flavour. Previously, I've found some nut, floral notes and cream in these too, but today's cigar from the box had only a hint of cream and was more abundant in leather. In any case, all three of us enjoyed our Churchill-sized cigars immensely. After all, where else can you lay claim to quality fruitcake in a cigar this size?13 points

Punch 8-9-8 2018 - Edición Regional Asia Pacifico LMB Jul 2019 This is the second Punch 8-9-8 I've had in a week and yes, it was again a case of committing 'infanticide' and so many of our forum members so aptly put it. I shared this one with Alexander Groom, the proprietor of Cuban Cigar Website and gave him some background knowledge on this Asia- Pacific Regional from PCC. It was only four months old, a bit 'wet' as we're inclined to phrase it, and it will require a few re-lights. This all proved true. One thing that Alex pointed out to me, which I hadn't noticed in the week that I had acquired the box, was the curved edges of the varnished box that the 10-count Punch 8-9-8 cigars came in. Alex stated that this was a reference to the original 8-9-8 packaging as these come in boxes with curved sides. I immediately agreed with Alex, and was well-pleased to have given him one of the cigars from the box to sample and the box itself, so that he could photograph it and use it to update the Cuban Cigar Website listing on the Punch 8-9-8. The flavour this time was similar to my first one last week. Roasted nuts, a chocolate fudge or marshmallow texture, around medium strength but much less citrus twang. After smoking these two 8-9-8s I can easily conclude that this release is related to the Punch 48 in flavour and not the Punch Punch, which in my opinion is different. Yes, if you've tried the Punch 48 then the Punch 8-9-8 will most definitely appeal to you due to the similar flavours, only it's a touch milder due to its dalia vitola dimensions.9 points

No pics, but tonight, after a very looong while, finally shared another cigar with my son. Nothing fancy, an El Principe for him, SP Non-Pluses for me and a friend. Well - son switched to his vape after half the Principe (which, admittedly, was rolled a tad irregular) - got to realize, it will still be a long stretch to go...7 points

Passing through FLL customs I declared my cigars purchased on my 9-day Caribbean vacation. I have global entry and I will not lie to customs. I was waived through but my wife had the carry on with the cigars inside. When she asked if she could complete her global entry interview at the airport (which I did not see any harm in her doing) she had the bag with her and they x-rayed it. Long story short, I got hauled into customs and was questioned at length by a very aggressive agent who suggested multiple times that I was actually returning from Cuba rather than Grand Cayman, which was absurd because I had travel docs which showed where I was. He also remarked several times that the length of my stay in Grand Cayman “must have been an expensive vacation. Very expensive.” Finally I overheard him telling another officer that “that’s a lot of tobacco.” I had 240 sticks, in case you are wondering, and my wife was with me. They told me that it’s 50 cigars up to $800 and that anything else above that is subject to tax. I said fine. They asked how much I paid, and I truthfully said five grand. There was a lot of Cohiba and sir winnies sitting there. And they opened multiple boxes (not sure what they were looking for but they did). If I had lied about anything, I would have been in deep shit. I was in there for a long time and did nothing wrong, but I was treated as though I had. In the end I kept everything I had and paid $189 by credit card. Interestingly, they gave me $800 credits for each of my one year old twins, which I thanked them for doing. So I had a $3,200 exemption against $5,000 worth of cigars. I have been through FLL before and never had any issues, though I always declare my cigars. The attitude regarding Cuban cigars is different now and I would not want to deal with these people on a return trip from Cuba. I am just putting this out there for informational purposes. The supervisor who was called in was very courteous but was clear that I was not walking out of there without paying a duty on the cigars. The original agent was a different story but I kept my cool and it worked out. Be careful out there.5 points

2015 QDO corona. I had smoked one of the new blend and unite enjoyed it, so wanted to see what the old one was all about. Honestly a bit disappointed, first third was pretty flavorless. Second two were good but nothing very exciting, and a soft spot contributed to a wonky burn. Based on this example alone I honestly wouldn’t purchase more of these, but I have a few more, so who knows.5 points

FOH top 25 2019 "From my records, I have gone through the top cigars for 2019 in terms of quality. Now for a cigar to have been eligible, I needed to have seen a minimum of four mastercases during the 2019 period. Plenty of great cigars just missed out. The Quai D’Orsay 50, Juan Lopez Seleccion 2, Partagas Serie E Number 2 were all on the cusp. Rafael Gonzalez Petit Corona and Vegas Robaina Famoso, Partagas Serie D 5 etc, I just didn’t see the requisite quantity. Some cigars had a great half of the year but were let down at some period. Tabacuba have generally done an excellent job of getting some consistency into big production cigars such as the Monte 4 and Monte 2 through 2019. Others such as the D4 and most of the minuto’s struggled. Some such as the Montecristo Media Corona I left off as while I saw a lot of boxes, they were from 2016-17. To put the below in perspective, just over 20,000 boxes were inspected this year." 2019 has been a very good year. Let's take a look at the star performers 1. Quai D’Orsay 54 2.
