Ever have one of those days were nothing went right. That was today until I started the Connie A and opened (drank) a great bottle of red wine. Things are looking up. tomorrow another trip out of town but looking forward to catching up with a few friends in Montreal.

Enjoyed a Cohiba 1966 tonight and gave my friend a Upmann 2 LUB MAY14. Great evening with a good friend, enjoyed reminiscing about days past and our future. I paired the 1966 with a Three Eyed Raven (beer). Good pairing as the two complimented each other nicely.

This was a mini celebration for his birthday and myself becoming a CPA.

Had my first Alex bhk 52. Great smoke for being so young. A little vegetal through the first third but it was secondary to the the upmann short bread and slight Carmel sweetness. I expect it to turn into more of a cohiba grassy note or floral.

Second third took on the honey, grass of cohiba mixed with upmann.

Final third not much change but there was some partagas-esque spice to finish.

Juan Lopez #1 from a RGO August 2012 box. My goodness this thing is just exploding with flavors! Creamy thick chewy smoke with some mocha and and a hint of raisins in the background. I'm only in the first third!
