An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

2021 Rosado Nudie this evening. Fantastic!

Agreed!  I’m surprised at how well these have evolved with time — smoking beautifully now.  For my palate, I’ve never enjoyed NCs as much as CCs (in general) but these ‘21 Rosado Lanceros have become delicious.  Rob has said the new ‘23 Lanceros are even a level better — very much looking forward to them with a year down.

Didn’t want to start a new thread - but have a quick question.

Had a Padron 1964 last night at a cigar bar with friends in Tampa. I don’t smoke a lot of NC’s but have enjoyed the Padron Anniversary line in the past.

This cigar was a total wind tunnel, the foot was firm but somehow started to peel and the cigar was completely bitter. I quit halfway through.

What causes bitterness in a cigar? It was really unenjoyable.

Usually it's caused by an under-filled cigar. It can be tough to smoke through when you encounter it, yes.

With Padron, even though they are rolled to be slightly loose in draw, they are noted for their consistency in flavour delivery and construction so it's a shame this occurred for you.
