After an unexpectedly great N1 experience, I had high hopes, but I'm not a fan after this example.

A little tunneling in the 2nd 3rd and a snap rain shower right after lighting could be the issue; to me, this pushes alot of HQ NC buttons but never showed any CC class, unlike the N1 or Hamlet 25th which I loved from a half inch in.

Still really good, just didn't scratch my itch.

So that's the story of the 1st 3/4. The last couple inches blew the doors off. Still very NC, but a couple laps of redemption at the end. I'd certainly try this again. Still holding out for the N2

First one from the box and all I gotta say, the smell of the wrapper is strong! I can smell the nicotine lol. This might not be a good idea to have this cigar so young. Let’s go!

Party short ROTT. And hoyo du Maire also ROTT. The du Maire was badly squished but smoked very well better than the previous one I had that was a little too tight. The rest of the box is fine.

MEL DIC 16 Sir Winnie. Wow , this was the fifth one from this box and they have all been excellent. Oil outlining the wax paper, perfect construction and flavors that don’t let up. This is what a cigar should be.
Between a great dinner and this cigar I’d say pretty good for a Tuesday.

The second Monte #2 posted tonight (EAR FEB-02) smoked with @Devo and my second son-in-law.  Save these for special occasions and it was a glorious evening watching the sun set with the boys after a Tenderloin dinner served with a very good 2000 Bordeaux.  Both the cigars, wine and company are at an appropriate age for enjoyment.
