In the current world of the montesco being made regularly in different marcas, I hope the Laguito no.1 forever remains in the portfolio. Excellent construction, check the ash! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk I’m in total agreement, long live this format 3

Popular Post sw15825 Posted June 13, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2020 Padron 45th Anniversary Maduro. It was CA's cigar of the year in 2009. I have a box with 7 sticks of 10 left that were boxed in 2009. Anyway, I thought I'd just give them a try again after about 5 or 6 years of not touching them. It's o.k. and obviously made with superior aged tobacco, but is just not worth the msrp of $27.50 a stick. Smooth, but very one dimensional. It's like the Little engine that couldn't. Just when you think it's about to pick up the pace, it does not. Maybe I'll save them for someone's wedding who I don't really know well or a celebration for non-smoking, celebratory partiers and they will really enjoy a fine, expensive and overpriced cigar. Funny how I remembered them and looked up the top 25 from 2009 when I lit up and the Cohiba Siglo 5 was rated number 2 that year. I happen to have an order out currently for a 5 x 3 of Siglo V tubos at $25 ish a stick, my favorite of the Siglo series and worth the money for a special cigar. I really miss the days when you could purchase a cab of Siglo 5's for about $14 to $16 a stick on sale. 2012 Superiores. Very nice example. Fonseca Cosacos from the mid 1970's. Being a brand that Habanos describes as light, I was not sure how the stick would smoke, but had hope for it, when noticing a very faint smell of sweet barnyard when I took time to smell the foot of the cigar. The cold draw had a nice sweet taste, not sour, musty or dried like I have experienced on older cigars that were not stored well. It was So soft and flavorful, right from the start. Earthy, sweet, cream and a what I'd just describe as notes of faint cedar with a pure tobacco flavor, still stuck in my mouth. A wonderful experience and a finger burner as a testament to how good and unique a cigar can taste when stored/aged in consistently proper conditions. The experience was much better than I was honestly expecting from a 45 year old cigar from a lighter strength brand. I was about 7 years old when it was boxed. ?. I understand a little more now what Min Ron Nee was talking about in discussing the maturation process of vintage cigars. Thank you for the stowaway @ Mcgoospot ! BBF, LRE MAR 10. Very nice ! Perfect construction with a razor sharp burn. The wife was away, I had a 4 cigar day. Outstanding !!! RASCC, OGA AUG 11. 33
