Vegas Robaina Famosos AEM May 2015

Vegas Robaina...it's not exactly a marca that would be in your rotation right now, right? Did you know that supplies of the Vegas Robaina Unicos (yes, the piramide) were in hiatus in 2019 and the Famosos was low? Probably not, but if you do manage to smoke a Famosos, Unicos or dare I say, a recently-discontinued 2017 Double Corona Don Alejandro, maybe you might be interested in seeking these out! According to our FoH Forum, recent 2019 Famosos has been smoking very, very well.

This Famosos was very much like the rest of this box thus far, which is to say, simply sensational! At just on five years of age, these are continuing to be in their prime for my tastes. Yet again, the raisin-sweet/licorice and cocoa flavours intermingled with some baking spice around a luscious grass core signified some 75 minutes of pure smoking pleasure.

I can see myself seeking to acquire another 2019 box and soon!

This was a very good cigar.  To me it tasted like an RyJ with an almost a Cohiba-like citrus twang to it.

I also smoked an Esmeralda today.

SLR Regio BOP SEP 19 from our host. Oddly, I had the opposite experience of a younger as the first third was hot and muted but the second and final thirds were fine. We’ll see how these progress but I’m thinking it may not be a good marca for my taste.

I have a small city condo balcony made of steel. I covered it in these cheap IKEA wooden tiles. Search for RUNNEN on IKEA.  Mine are sun bleached now but it still looks and feels much better than painted black steel.

Excellent.  Smooth.  Coffee, cream, nutmeg, anise the key flavours.  Excellent draw and burn as well.

Prado: LGR JUN-19. Not really digging these.  

MAE FEB-14 Epi 1 Tubo. Crusty with a little mold but nothing too bad.  These have all had some fuzz on them so far.  This smoked excellent despite the large crack in the wrapper.

MC#2 BRE DIC 18 ?. Firm draw but spot on monte profile. Delicious. Opens up a bit at the half. Some nice twang too.
