If you aren’t liking them yet I would recommend putting them down for at least 3-5 years. I know that’s a long time but those are all good when aged properly Thank you. I’ll do just that or try to stumble my way in to some aged ones to sample in the meantime. I read the reviews and want to experience what others are tasting but just haven’t yet. Gonna try Connie 1s next but a little hesitant based on prior experience. 1

Yeah I have some 2017 Connoisseur A that haven’t peaked yet. I have some Connie 1s that are 3 years old and those are still not great. Sometimes they just have to rest...and hope they turn the corner. But I have have them when they are smoking right and it’s a night and day difference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Raskol Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 How was the A? Been going back and forth with the A and B; haven’t had bothBoth are very good smokes..young or aged... All boils down to your preference as which you prefer.. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

They are all young Upmanns so maybe I need to leave them alone for some time? I’m not a fan of young Upmann either, maybe excepting the little Half Corona. But some aged Connie A and Mag 46 have been super. So I would just put what you have away for the long term. On the one hand you have to trust yourself and smoke what you like best. On the other hand, there’s wisdom from the old guard about what ages well - and what tastes people eventually gravitate towards. I’ve never had a Winnie, but I’m definitely on the lookout for a box, even though Upmann is not really my thing at the moment. I figure I’ll be glad in ten years’ time...

Popular Post KnightsAnole Posted July 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 13, 2019 Mag 48 - hated when I first got them, forgotten in a corner of the cabinet for years. Now quite a nice smoke. should have been 2” longer tho. JLPC 14, seems I smoke one of these about every 4 months and they never get any better. Love the Marca, love the size, but this cigar is no bueno. 20

I just don’t get any flavor profile as others have described. Is it possible my palate just doesn’t taste the flavors of an entire marca? Should I leave them to rest for a considerable amount of time? Dry box longer? Store lower/higher humidity? Appreciate the feedback or any similar experiences with Upmann or an entire marca. Thanks, vets! That’s interesting, I’m crushing a box of clearance 2018 mag46’s, they’re smoking brilliantly already. I’d definitely just let them rest longer, could be a different factory and different leaf. I keep mine at 65%, what are you keeping yours at?
Popular Post steelcity Posted July 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 13, 2019 Breaking in the new Rec Tec with 3 racks and some Mexican corn later. Passing the time with a Cuaba Distinguidos. First one out of a PSP box that's been sitting for a bit now. 17

Mine are currently at 65% but I’m lowering gradually to 62% over next several weeks. I bought 1/4 box psp mag 46s and yesterday was the first of the 6. I’ll bring the RH down and wait a few months before trying another. They look absolutely perfect so it was disappointing. Glad to know it’s not just 3-5 years that can smoke well. Thanks, Kaptain.
Popular Post Wookie Posted July 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 13, 2019 Been smoking a lot from a 2002 Coro box from Davidoff London courtesy of a generous golf buddy... nutty, savory and I swear I detect cedar from the box aging Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 20

Thanks, vets! I felt the same way about Upmann, tried most all you mention (all young) and they were just ho hum. Then I tried a HUHC with nearly 4 years on it, and I thought wow that's good. So I acquired a few Connie 1 with three years on them, and yep, they were spectacular. So I ordered a cab and put it away. And now that I "get" the profile, I've had a couple young Connie 1 and enjoy them more. 2
