  1. Hi Ken, I grew up in the UK near the chalk streams, and in the late 80’s I lusted after a sleek aluminium fly box with rounded corners and fancy wavy foam. Way out of my pay grade and the height of decadence. Then I grew up and started lusting after different things, and haven’t given one of those fly boxes a second thought until your post. And blow me down if I didn’t walk into a ye olde worlde hunting and fishing store today in northern Massachusetts on my way to a trout stream, and see the following… The Limited Edition Millenium Edition! Honestly, I think this came out before limited edition was invented. One added bonus was that the store was so old school that whenever they got inventory they slapped a price tag on it and that was that. Pre-inflation pricing. So I picked up this 23 yr old limited edition box for £20. And to be fair, the guy was happy to have sold it. Good fishing Ken, and anyone else out there who’s venturing out with a fly rod this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I’m a big fan and although I own a ton I don’t smoke them as often as I should as I guess I’m too busy trying other cigars. I should just stick to what I know and love! Currently got a few boxes on the go 09, 14, 16. Have a cab from 19 but haven’t cracked it yet, plus a few boxes from 21. Big fan of Hoyo DC’s and RAG. The Punch DC’s I’ve had were all unbelievably boring. Shame, as Punch Punch have long been a favourite of mine for 20 years. D4’s normally bolt out the door for me, but Lusis have a more elegant start. Most of my best cigar memories involve a Lusi - love at first sight, the lady loves milk tray in Havana, the Aperol Spritz disaster… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. I recently left Hong Kong for several months for the USA and didn’t bring any smokes with me. Had I been in Hong Kong I would have fired up the 1 remaining Lusi I have from a 1999 box I picked up with my Dad in Havana. I didn't know Mike well but did enjoy the interactions I did have with him, and very much respected his demeanour. So I found a 1964 Padron Maduro at a local store, a couple of milk stout beers, and went for a hike with an audio book - The Next 100 Years. It was during working hours, but thinking about the future counts as work for me, so off I went. I didn't think about the cigar too much as was too busy on the next 100 years, but I enjoyed it and being outside on a decent mountain with some sun and some beer. A couple of squirrels and chipmunks hoped in and out of site, and some sort of dramatic looking hawk wafted overhead. They seem to like circling overhead when I'm smoking in Hong Kong - I've always thought they are birds of good taste. Here's to our fallen friend and the contribution so many make to this thoughtful community. Best wishes all Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. I’ve made mine into a huge Jenga tower in my office. Gives us something to play with once we’ve finished all the wine, jamon and cheese. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
