I too was in the CoRo camp. Smoke many of both those and SD#4. Perhaps the girls mixed up the boxes?

I propose to send some cigars to Bijan with no reviews to go off of.

My sincere condolences for you D4 mates. My aged CoRo was sublime. 😜🤪🤦‍♂️

I knew it was a D4 from the minute I picked it up

@El Presidente had me convinced on zoom I was wrong 🤣 I guess he can keep a solid poker face when he wants to.

I actually sent my guesses to Rob on November 6th. I haven't changed any of them since.

Edit: I was worried I'd second guess myself and wanted to make sure I shared my initial guesses 🙂

Edit 2: I voted on 3, 4 and 5 before each video came out. The only one where the video had any effect was cigar 2. I was leaning monte 4, but my second guess was rgpc, but the video convinced me it was definitely monte 4.

Yes......we would put a CORO in the mix.....in 2021

:rotfl:

It's a well aged Coro so it only cost you half as much, but then you could auction it off for twice as much 🤔

I say we check your credit card statements! If we see a purchase of Jimmy Choo shoes, we know you bribed somebody for the answers!!

Di!! Is Rob wearing a new pair of pumps?!?!

Rats. I was pretty confident about my guess of RASS, and looking back, I never thought it had what I consider the classic Partagas flavours.

What also put me off was that mine was perfectly round. I was sure it had come out of a cabinet.

I got nothing that revealed Partagas to me at all on this one.  I also didn't get the citrus and straw mix I associate with Cohiba.  To me this cigar was pure Hoyo, sweet, creamy, twangy.  Oh well, swing and a miss.  I really enjoyed this cigar so new respect for D4 from me.

I went with Epi no.2 and my second guess, which I discounted in the end, was a D4. I ruled out a CoRo, as I wasn't getting any honey, hay or lemongrass. I didn't instantly hate it, so that also ruled out Bolivar! 😅

To me, I didn't get a strong sense of this cigar. It smoked really great, no harsh notes or bitterness, but nothing profoundly distinct.

Me too. I didn't get any partsgas notes from this one at all. Had a lot of cream on mine. Really liked it tho. Which is odd. I really like psd4 too, and felt it was a psd4 before I smoked it. But after I smoked it I tricked myself.

Based on all the reviews with cream, cloves/spices and wood (one mentioned pencil shavings which is very specific to epi 2), I actually was very worried it was an epi 2 after I voted and then looked over the reviews more carefully. Didn't help that Ken got cream and honey either.

Seems this one has fooled the most of the 4 revealed thus far. Will be quite curious to see if this is one of the ‘aged’ cigars.

I have really come full circle on the PSD4, from initially hating the sourdough when I first got into Habanos, and then gradually appreciating how well balanced the other flavors are and how nicely medium bodied they are, and now that blind cigar was absolute perfection for me.  It think it must have been at least 5 years old.  I will definitely be ordering a few more boxes (hopefully light wrappers) and putting them into deep storage.

Wow. PSD4 (and Epi 2) were the two I wrote off most confidently because I didn't get any notable creaminess.

I wonder how the results would be different if the cigars had more time to rest before reviews were due. Apart from the first two, 3-5 were all very muted to me, and with about a month of rest for mine, they had way less rest than I normally give before touching any cigars (min 3 months but usually at least 6).

Let’s face it, CCs are inconsistent. That’s part of the fun. I smoked a great, great SCDLH La Fuerza today. I bet the next one will be nothing like as good… but it’s all interesting.

Lots of short memories here. CoRo was in the blind tasting a couple years ago, so never say never.

I already have my vote in to Lisa for cigar 5, it couldn't be clearer that it's a Cohiba Piramides Extra. Go ahead and vote for a different stick if you feel like throwing your last vote away.

CPE is not the same size as a regular piramides. I am pretty sure that I measured it with callipers and it was a piramides and not a piramides extra.

Also the whole 5 pack of cigars was $100 wasn't it? And a piramides extra is what like $50? So I guess it's possible... What did the blind samplers cost in previous years?

Edit: also not to rely too much on the video review again but Rob and Ken gave the cigar mid 80s scores and said it was basically tobacco flavour with no variation or progression.
