This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

I believe that's the "getting ahead of the objection" persuasion technique.

And it's refreshing to see they aren't using the Nigerians anymore.

**And of course when they want you to KEEP giving them your bank acct. info supposedly to have for "when they deposit your money" and it's you who keep paying and paying and paying...let me save you some trouble.  I've got some lunar property deeds I can sell you so that when we do start making regular trips to the moon - you'll be the rightful owner of all those crater rocks and mounds there...:sneaky:

Isn't it always a dead giveaway when they use the last name of the consigliere in The Godfather series?  Might as well use John Smith, just as inconspicuous.

i thought that as well.

my sister got a phone call from some of these idiots. unfortunately my mother answered it and told her it was the bank. so she didn't query and handed over details. fortunately, these guys were truly the keystone kops of crime. they transferred $80 into her account.instead of taking anything out - somehow she then twigged and closed it down. i really am not making that up.

They are the same guys that used to steal purses from innocent women in the street, just to leave their own wallets behind.  They have just moved indoors and behind computer screens and encrypted wifi networks.
