SLR Regio for me. 2021. I have hit a seam that is tantalising and I don't want them to end. 

It will of course......but I dream. Great run.

2010 Hamlet Flying Pig. Might be the best of 2021.

Was a particular PSD6 I had from a 5 pack so don’t know box code. All 5 were great but the fourth one was particularly special. So much so I’m saving the fifth from that pack until I’m ready. I recall seriously tasty notes of white pepper.

Best smoke of September. 2019 BRC that I got last year. They where awful when I got them overpowering and unbalanced and then now turned into a real treat. Like a light switch they where all on this month the few I had. Sampling 6 months ago they weren't even close.

Punch 898 with Honduran coffee watching the Ryder Cup Saturday morning.  Simply my favorite morning coffee cigar.  I wish these actually came in 898 boxes.

Yep, they have been awesome.   For me they are enticing, and really pander to my thoughts on gourmand elements of cigar blending, that you need something sweetly perfumed and something slightly rotten.  For me that are an unusual combination of sweet fresh rasberry jam, and the sour silage, barnyard aroma coming off a sunbaked cowpat.

Carlos Torano Signature Collection Torpedo

Got my first in a bomb, and fell in love.

Even the appearance was outstanding with a wavy cedar half sleeve on the bottom.

While shopping around for more, noticed that they did away with the cedar sleeve and was concerned that they changed the blend too (was told the one I was bombed was at least 6 years old), but bought 3, 5 packs anyway on a chance.

Thankfully the blend is unchanged, and even rott vs 6+ years age, they were outstanding.

Definitely my best of September by far.

Do wish they hadn't done away with the cedar, as it looked really nice, but oh well, I'm just going to smoke them, not stare at them, lol

Will certainly be keeping these in stock

For NC - Either the Padron 1964 Diplomatico (pictured here) or the 1926 No. 1 … both just incredible sticks

For CC - the Partagas Lusitania I smoked yesterday just blew me away. First time smoking one and it was other worldly

There were a few that were deserving but in the end the best of the month was a BME AGO 2011 Cohiba 1966.

HU mag 50. I’ve had a handful of so so sticks in this box. This one blew me away.

I had a box of these from 24:24 and admittedly I wasn’t blown away. I’m a huge lover of the Mag 46 and I just thought the 46 blew the 50 out of the water… may try and smoke a few more to see if I had a so so stick

Same exact situation as you. I think they’re just a fairly inconsistent blend. I definitely prefer the 46, but the one 50 that was on blew my socks off.

My cigar of the month was a PL Encantos. These were stellar for some years and one I smoked sometime last year left me feeling that maybe they were over the hill. Well this one hit all the numbers for sure


That experience was followed closely by a Casdagli Daughters of the Wind Robusto. I didn’t expect such deep and nuanced cocoa notes in an NC. I went looking for more right away but they were unfortunately sold out everywhere I looked. If you know where to find more let me know.

SLR Regios for the win for me (again). Bought a box. Smoked it hard so split another box with a buddy.  Those are disappearing as well and also tremendous. Picked up another box from our host. 
I really hope these stand up to a little aging. The rest if my cigars are jealous and need some attention.

Best stick of the month by far was a Trinidad media Luna. MUP SEP 19, first from this box and excited for the rest 👍🏻

Punch 898. Got the box in August, couldn’t resist and torched one up probably way too soon. I’m still pretty new to Cubans and cigars in general and I’m finding I really enjoy nutty peanut and peanut butter flavors. This was an absolute peanut butter bomb that smacked me in the mouth with every puff. 11/10 I had to bury the box in my humidor so that I wouldn’t see it and be tempted to smoke any more before they’re really ready

Cuban: SCdlH LA Fuerza was simply fantastic. 

NC: Illusione Epernay Le Monde amazed me with the honey and hay overtones. Flawless construction too. No way I would have guessed it was NC if smoked blind.

Where I am, September is a beautiful time of year for smoking. I am thankful for quite a few great cigars this month, and I believe this one was probably best of the bunch. MOL Jun 18.
