El Presidente Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 January is done What was your best / most memorable cigar experience of January 2020? Which cigar ....from cheapie to double banded dollar gobbler made you stop, prop and go "bloody hell.....this is an absolute cracker!"
leafdream54 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Boli Tubo no. 1 ULA May 15 - such a satisfying bolivar experience! 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted February 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2020 Thanks to @Thirds...wasn't expecting much, was pleasantly surprised. Detailed review to come later (in a few weeks...in the Daily Smoking thread). 5 1
Chibearsv Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 2015 Siglo V tubos. Wonderful smooth cigar with creamy smoke and flavors of hay, honey, and orange - really good A+ 2
SmokyFontaine Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 The best cigar was probably a Trinidad Vigia from 2019, but the best experience was my first Bolivar, a Soberano, at a cigar lounge in Seoul. Was also my first cigar lounge. 3
rcarlson Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 HU Mag 50 (ESL ABR 19). Unexpected killer, and not my RG preference at all. 3
Islandboy Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 This one’s easy....ERDM Kon Tiki. Went into it with high expectations. The cigar blew right past all of them before the first inch was over. 4
BoliDan Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 15 Sir Winnie. This is the last one since the dry winter started messing with my sinuses. Hoping they kick back into gear soon. 4

Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted February 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2020 The ARS 19 Fundadores from the Christmas sampler was fairly brilliant. 5
Itsmikeyadig Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 QDO54 from the 12 days of Christmas sampler blew me away. So complex and extremely enjoyable. On the lookout for a box or 2 next time they pop up and I have a quick trigger fingerSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Bohemio Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Lgr may 19, Punch 48 I was playing golf and that was my second cigar of the day, it was wow, I stop for a minute just to enjoy it 2
Wookie Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Boli Silver Jubilee, talisman, Leyenda 2018, RyJ Churchill 2018. Half of the XMas Sampler. 2
Popular Post dshot Posted February 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2020 A farm rolled that I got in Cuba over the summer. I've been sampling them slowly but the one I had in January just knocked it out of the park. It's nothing special actually. It was an ugly ass corona. But man did it pack flavor and burn great. I'm just shocked how amazing it was with a little age and how much I paid for them. It makes me want to go back and just stockpile farmies. At 2 CUC a piece it was worth the price of admission 100%! 5
T.52 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Similar to what @Chas.Alpha says above...that ARS 19 Fundadores was so unexpectedly good I said to myself "holy sh@t". 1
rascalmonkey Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 a Trini Vigia RAG Jan 2017 (PSP) that had some spectacular flavors I have never experienced before 2

parabola66 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 My smoking slows down in the winter months.. to cold to enjoy it, so I didn't smoke much in January. The best/most memorable was a Q' DO 54 in the middle of the ocean on the largest ship in the world. 1
Meklown Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Mag 56 EL15 for me. Hadn't had it since I smoked it fresh way back when I first got the box, but Prez's thread on the performance of the 2015 ELs got me wanting to pull one out again. I had it on the eve of Chinese New Year and it was a fantastic smoke. Brilliantly complex, coffee, cream, bits of earth. 1
Bmbroads Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Saint Luis Rey Regios- unsure of box code, but man what a surprise. Resting for about 12 months and I left saying “I need to buy more” 1
Smatthews607 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Best cigar (and only cigar) of January was a 2014 Upmann 2. Just a great cigar! Hate winter time- just too cold to enjoy anything. 1
