Ken, you named the esky "Quinn" in honour of the Bob Dylan song or Anthony Quinn's portrayal of an Eskimo in Nicholas Ray's 1960 film, 'The Savage Innocents'?

john, i will be honest. i cannot take credit. it was a brilliant piece of editorial interference - normally something i abhor.

now, i assumed that it was for his bobness, as my post above will confirm, but i may have been wrong. but i suspect i am not.

but elevating the new esky to 'the mighty quinn' should have given it away.

Just to be clear, we’re talking about a cooler here, right? Not that there’s anything wrong with.....naming a cooler.?

in my defence, i only named the second one. can't claim the original one. and if the first had a name, poor form not to name the second.

hey, people name boats. why not an esky?

I think you should call it Chilli as in Chillibin LOL

i never knew you were a kiwi.

and for the record, it will most certainly not be getting a kiwi moniker.

Simply a post of laziness, m mann was the first result, Dylan was lower. I blame YouTube

On this, you have a valid point. And for the record, based on pictures you’ve posted in the past, I wouldn’t venture into the jungle below the relative safety of your patio to retrieve what remains of Quinn either. RIP Quinn.

Okay, this is a bit spooky. Many years ago I named my cooler...!

It was this huge white thing that we took on the boat. You could put a body in it... We named it Jeffrey. Yes, as in Dahmer!

Cheers! -Piggy

ray, the original quinn, now overboard in the jungle below, once belonged to my old man, by coincidence, geoffrey (the correct spelling), m ago. it would have been odd to call it after him.

I cannot account for how Jeffrey spelled Geoffrey... -LOL All I know is that it might have been handy, my large cooler, in his line!
