New Habanos releases pics

Recommended Posts

This pictures aren't mine it was posted in another cigar forum. Not sure if anyone has seen the new releases for this year but thought I'd throw up the pics. Enjoy!

Initial thoughts...the monte supremo will be like stuffing a salami in your mouth...no thanks. The topes and cohiba novedosos looks interesting.

Habanos went on a tear on Instagram this morning.

More on the Trinidad releases, looking forward to the Topes being a regular production cigar.

Another short fattie. ?

Short de Punch, (50 x 120 mm), is a new vitola with excellent dimensions for aficionados who prefer heavy ring gauge Habanos with a short smoke. ?

What caught my attention was the Trinidad Topes becoming a regular production release. :o (And not just because it's in red-coloured font!)

Surprised to see that now Trinidad is being revamped like QdO with more thick sticks! I also did not expect to see that Punch also has regular production Petit Robusto! Cohiba LCDH would definitely be an ultimate money grabber in my opinion! ??

Habanos just isn't going to stop with these bigger ring gauges ?

It's not that I completely hate them, it's just disappointing that we're starting to no longer see many cigars under 50. The 44's just have such a great feel to them and I personally have less burn issues with the narrower gauges.

These dang 50+ RG!  I predict in just a few short years we’ll see 60 RG Habanos.  Ridiculous.  JFK is rolling in his grave.

This is precisely why I repeatedly call thick ring gauge cigars ‘dildos’ on every forum of media. Program enough minds to think of that NSFW toy while they’re smoking that vulgarly thick smoke and soon they’ll be reaching for lonsdales and petit Coronas to get that image out of their mind.

Yep, as a pure functioning item, a cigar smokes best between 38-48 RG.   Everything after that is just show.....and not go!

I'm hoping the novelty wears off in another 5 yrs, and then we can get back to serious smoking

Amen. My worry is that Habanos doesn't want to go back to a smaller ring gauge because they're harder to roll.

Come on, it's just 4 mm short of a regular robusto.

Do the new marketing efforts on QDO seem to cross over to quality?  Sure seems like they are rolled like butter on hot corn

If so, is it reasonable to believe they will start encouraging factories to be more consistent. It sure seems like they are on the bandon wagon with NC in RG and glitter.  Why not have quality control. Hmmm....

Stop the presses!  What?  Are they resurrecting one of my unicorns, or are you just toying with my emotions?

This is the info I got. Not 100% sure but I think at least there will be a regional with this name.

Bah, Regionals.  Knew it was too good to be true.  Appreciate the info, though!

I look forward to trying them all..should be a fun!

wonder what the Cohibas will be like?

I tried one from the festival.  It tasted like a Cohiba, but it tasted young.  Will definitely benefit with time.
