Audiophile equipment. I used to plan pouring myself an extra glass or two of scotch just because I didn't want to feel that immediate buyers remorse from purchasing thousands of dollars worth of audio stuff. Amps, headphones, speakers, DACs etc.

Bought a used Shimano Stella 8000 with a secondary market 16000 spool, a 4-6 PE Japanese popping rod, and an assortment of poppers to use for fishing in Puerto Vallarta. The year after, we bought a 27ft World Cat so our trips to PV have dropped considerably. I havnt even caught a yellowfin on the damn thing...would anyone want to take it off my hands? ?

Lusitanias. Kept buying boxes of ten because the 24:24 listings state “you don’t find them like this”. Then the other day I found a dress box of 25 HQ Lusis that I bought months ago and forgot about completely.  Now I have another box of ten on the way from the last HQ/PSP listing ??‍♂️

If you drink rum and stare at your phone long enough, this is what happens.

Lately it's been audiophile stuff for me too: vinyl, turntables, speakers, amps, dacs, headphones....

Usually, though, it's movies. I'm a sucker for physical media and I like to own movie just for the artwork and special features. When a movie is only $10-$20, it's easy to just order one on impulse. Next thing you know, you've spent thousands of dollars on a movie collection of which you'll probably barely watch half of them ever.

Working girls
I assume you mean the 1986 film starring Louise Smith, in which case you should capitalise the "g" on "girls". If not...

not me and not online but one of my best mates.

had a big fight with the current girlfriend and so, had a massive lunch to get over it all.

on the way home, purchased the latest aston martin.

when it was delivered the next day - which was a bit of a surprise, apparently - the lovely squillion-year-old house he had in surrey had a fine garage. sadly, the entrance to it was two inches too narrow for it to fit.

in fairness, he did come to love that car.

me? i think such stupidity does not need exposing. most of it resides in the cellar. at least i had the sense to borrow a 15 weight when i went to costa rica.

I can honestly say I've never done this.

If I get that polluted, which is incredibly rare, I'm not shopping.

Hooch.

Spent far too much money on a case of French eaux de vie.  Lovely stuff, to be sure, but I really should have stopped browsing the internet after single malt number mumble....

Discussing them is here is taboo, but lets just say it starts with a G and rhymes with FUN!

Absolutely hilarious because yes, I’ve done it!

This is easily the worst one for me as well, it makes cigars seem affordable and reasonable...

One night we bought a Total Trolley.  :lol3:  The trolley was a bust for us but the collapsible plastic crates have been great all these many years.  Perfect for Costco runs!  :2thumbs:

Evidently, you weren't drunk enough. You might have ordered a 200 pound tampon.

Sign sauer p226 x5 competition.  I'd been eyeing it for awhile but not been pulled the trigger on the purchase.  Suppose I needed some liquid courage to do so.

The seed of my desire to buy an f150 was planted after an afternoon smoking and drinking.  Though I was stolen cold sober when I actually bought it.

Several boxes of cigars, scotch, golf stuff and some warhammer 40k items have all been bought under the influence.  In fact I'm not sure there's a hobby that hasn't had a drunk buy

For starters, 24:24 every Sunday when I'm home. Living in San Diego and being a Patriots fan, I start drinking at 9am so I have a good buzz by 10am for the game. On the west coast, 24:24 gets posted at 3:30PM. At that point I've watched the Patriots game and I'm almost done with the afternoon game and surely have had a few too many. I've bought boxes of clearance cigars while I have the same box in transit from the week before, just because I was drunk and it looked good!

Cheers to clearance Monday on football Sunday, you always get the best of me!

I've inadvertently added to by bass guitar collection a few times with the rationale that "Wow, what a great price and killer condition for a 40 year old instrument with the original hard case, and I already have this one, but not in this color and finish".

Cigars, smoking pipes/tobacco, wine, bourbon and Scotch, hunting/fishing equipment, tickets to sporting events...

Got to the point where my wife would ask "drunk shopping again?" every time a package showed up at the house.
