More of a long corona and this thing was more bent than a lazy banana, but it was like smoking chocolate cake! What a great smoke, it had floral and coffee notes throughout, with cayenne pepper spice that became quite pronounced towards the end. ebhead Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Since I got these in recently, figured why not try one right away... When I first got them the wrappers were nice and oily. After acclimating to my set up it wasn't as oily, which is the way I seem to like my cigars. Firm to the touch, with a bit of give when lightly squeezed. Nothing special at cold draw. First third was similar to light toasty flavours, into the second third some cream/butter crept in, and oddly for one puff I got some poppy seed flavours (probably being a bit psychosomatic but I have to say I liked it). The other thing, in the second third it was giving off tons of smoke, which died down by the final third of the cigar. Final third, the cream disappeared and was back to lightly toasty flavours. I'm not doing this mini-half-a**ed review any justice, I know. (Focused on the wrong label, grumble) I do have to stay, all in all, it was a really good smoke. Will it get better with age? Sampling the first stick from the '13 BTO Siglo VI box arrived from ihav's last week and wow what a promising box. Can't wait to see how some of these smoke with some rest. At the final third there was a hint of hazelnuts. Oddly enough, for me anyway, there was quite a bit of H Upmann profile in the cigar in the last third. This most definitely is not a complaint as I like the Upmann profile. A couple of not so focused shots. Oh so jealous mainly of the KBS. I was in line for some and they sold out 4 people in front of me. This is the 3rd from this box I've smoked and this one just has balls to it the other two didn't have even though they were great smokes.
