Monte no.1 from ROP ABR 21. This was one of those over-packed boxes, and sure enough, every single one I’ve cut so far has been unsmokably tight. The idea that every CC is tested on a draw machine is a joke.

Fortunately, they have all been salvageable with a perfectdraw tool. I use the same technique as @Bijan: go in from the foot only. Once suitably drilled, they have been delicious! This one had the distinct lemony note, the others have been more classical chocolate. Very nice flavours, and smoking really well for young cigars.

I had the cigar on the right - a UK 2016 regional release of the Juan Lopez 'Seleccion Superba' and my god, it was utterly superb. I'm a huge fan of the JLS1/2 range and this stick was (quite literally) on fire.

It beat every JLS1/2 I've ever had and of course, no boxes for love nor money.

Apparently, the RyJ Hidalgos was also terrific (although I'll take my mate at his word - I'm not an RyJ fan)
