It's actually a thin tube (looks like a pale neon tube) in the middle that glows orange and the rest is just mirrors to reflect the infrared heat rays. But in photos the whole things glows orange. 1

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that. Most everyone I know has a regular patio heater like you see at restaurants. Definitely cool looking. Been wanting one for years but haven’t done it.
Popular Post X-Man Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 Beautiful rosado wrapper. This one is extra sweet. 26

Popular Post Mr.T Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 Celebrated my dad’s birthday with a great May 2007 A/T H.Upmann Monarch from a box from our host. I feel lucky to have a box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 22
Popular Post GVan Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 Was successful in snagging a box of Dip 2's tonight -- So, decided to smoke one of the PSP Dip 2's from our host (LGR DIC-18). These have been awesome, smooth and capsicum machines . Unfortunately, this will be my last CC for at least a month. Have to have some oral surgery tomorrow. At least I get to stop with a 90+ point cigar that will make the wait difficult but necessary. 33
Popular Post ChangBang Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 RASS, beer, and ravens game while tuning my snowboard. Really got that stewed fruit flavor that I hear about with a perfect draw and construction. Awesome cigar, glad I have a box coming! 25

Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 My second shot at this Short du Punch. After a few weeks in the humi the first one was unremarkable. 3 weeks later this example was just as enjoyable as the excellent Dip#2 it followed. I look forward to the next one. 28

Yeah it's great due to the infrared nature it is more effective for the same BTU output and operating costs are pretty low and no maintenance or refueling (my main gripe against propane). They have natural gas versions which are probably better but costs are much higher. If I were spending more money I'd probably get one or two 240v versions and that would probably be just as good. This is closer to what it actually looks like. If you are somewhere where it's above freezing one 120v one like I have is almost certainly enough though. 5 1

Popular Post Markspring1978 Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 These Silver Jubilee get a lot of hate, I think they have a lot of potential. Still young and has some edges, but much better than last year. Very strong, with licorice, walnut and molasses. 29

Popular Post sw15825 Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 MUR MAY 12. These have become great with a stewed fruit sweetness, vanilla and hints of coconut over a bit of coffee/leather notes. Medium bodied throughout. Much different than they were fresh, in a good way.. 30
Popular Post JohnS Posted December 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2020 Montecristo No.5 AUM Jul 2014 If you're curious as to what happens to smaller perlas, reyes, minutos etcetera as they age then please kindly read on. You see, the thing is, these smaller cigars so often get smoked when we want a quick half-hour smoke, usually replete with intense flavours, that aging can often be left to other larger vitolas in our humidor. The Montecristo No.5 is a 40 ring gauge x 102 mm (or 4 inches in length) perla and was amongst the foundation Montecristo numbered vitolas introduced when the brand debuted in 1935. It stands a little on its own in relation to the Montecristo No.1, 3 and 4 because it is indeed more intense in strength and body in comparison and the flavours may appear 'sharper' to the palate. At six-and-a-half years don't expect a Montecristo No.5 to develop a creamy texture nor does it develop softer nut flavours. No, on the contrary, I found that indeed this AUM Jul 2014 Montecristo No.5 did diminish to just under medium in strength and it maintained an admirable simplicity in its melded quality chocolate, cocoa and milk coffee flavours. In fact, that milk coffee was certainly in the background, to me this half hour smoke was an adventure in chocolate. So no nut, citrus twang nor creaminess yet still a dependable quality smoking cigar experience. Perhaps there was but a hint of baking spice coming through as the cigar was approaching its seventh year. I doubt that I will seek it out as this was fine right now as it was. I envisage that I'd be happy to smoke through the box over the next 12 to 24 months. 30

Lookin like some nice cigars there !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks. From a draw perspective I do. I usually cut them right there and the draw is always good (sometimes snug, sometimes looser, but always acceptable). If I cut them lower, I like how it looks but the draw is sometimes tight, and my cutter is not very good and cutting again a little higher often unravels/damages the wrapper a bit. Probably should just invest in a better cutter Similarly I generally use the largest punch I have available that fits on regular caps, 7mm on 30-33RG, 8mm 34-39, 9mm from 40-46, 12mm 47+ (though it's kind of a judgement call which one to use right at the border RGs like 39-40 and 46-47). 2

I cut mine at an angle, for the same reason. It gives me the surface area for a good draw, but also maintains most of the shape of the pyramid, at least on one side. If I know I am going to be taking a picture of it, I cut the angle on the opposite side of the front of the band, so in the picture, the pyramid is intact, and the cut is mostly hidden from view. 1 1
